We are getting close to the conclusion of my wishes for this years Oscar parties. We are just a week out from one of the most glamorous nights of the year and I am super excited to see what everyone, and their stylists, are cooking up. Constance Wu started awards season strong in a custom nude Vera Wang ballgown at the Golden Globe Awards. Then she kinda went downhill with her choices until she stepped out for the LA premiere of Isn’t It Romantic wearing a soft pastel Schiaparelli Couture gown. I loved that gorgeous goddess moment on Constance and I hope she keeps that bar up. So when I was looking for the perfect gown for her to wear on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair party after she presents at this years Oscars I decided to turn to the newest Schiaparelli Couture collection. I would love to see her give a 30’s art deco moment wearing this white Schiaparelli Spring 2019 Couture sleeveless gown which features fan pleating, intricate crystal beading, and a broach detail on the waist. It is a simple design that if styled perfectly would be absolute glamour defined. A sleek updo, defined eyes, soft blush pink lips, a silver Judith Leiber Couture ‘Celestial’ sphere chain strap minaudiere, silver metallic patent leather Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudistdisco’ platform sandals, and a pair of art deco Tiffany & Co. blue book diamond drop earrings all would add the perfect finishing touches to really ensure this look is exactly that. Halsey hasn’t been around as much lately. She wasn’t nominated for any Grammy’s and I am hoping to see her on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair party this coming weekend. Halsey is a style chameleon. I never know what kind of wardrobe or hair choices she will make for a red carpet. Very rarely is her hair the same length, color, or style two red carpets in a row. At the beginning of New York Fashion Week she rocked a red carpet with a short pink style. Will it be the same if she jets to LA for the Oscars? Probably not. I did start the search for the perfect gown for her and when I saw this black Stephane Rolland Spring 2019 Couture gown which features dramatic wings off the strapless neckline, a cutout detail on the bodice, and a sheer paneled skirt I thought it would work. It is simple in cut and color, but that wing detail adds the perfect edge for Halsey to be drawn to. I would want to see her rock platinum blonde close cut pixie, smokey eyes, red lips, a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti strappy knee high sandals, and Djula diamond cluster earrings and three finger ring to make this a major moment for her to rock on this red carpet. I am expecting Lady Gaga to walk away with at least one little gold man on Sunday at the Oscars. She has swept awards season with her song Shallow and has had amazing fashion moments all season long. I know we can expect at least 3 looks from Gaga on Oscar night. One on the red carpet at the ceremony, one to perform, and one for the Vanity Fair party. I would love to see Gaga end the night in bold style wearing this royal blue Valentino Spring 2019 Couture ball gown which features dramatic ruffled sleeves, a scoop neckline, empire waist, and a ruffled ball skirt. She kicked off the promo tour for A Star Is Born in Valentino Couture and I definitely think that it would be apt for her to end the run for the film in another look from the label. Not many could power through this ‘Southern Belle’ or Gone With The Wind moment, but Gaga knows how to deliver a major moment like this on the red carpet. A sleek high knot bun, defined eyes, red lips, a pair of blue velvet Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Alien’ crystal embellished strappy sandals, and statement Tiffany & Co. diamond floral cluster earrings would all make this that dramatic moment I always crave from Gaga.Supermodel Naomi Campbell is definitely almost always on the Oscar night red carpets. Sometimes she goes to Elton John and Vanity Fair and sometimes she just goes to the Vanity Fair party. When it comes to her style I can go back and forth about my feelings with her choices on the red carpet. I would love to see her deliver two extremely glamorous moments on the red carpet next weekend at the Oscars. For the Elton John party I would love seeing Naomi bring this bold red Elie Saab Spring 2019 Couture one sleeve gown which features dramatic ruffles, an asymmetric sweetheart neckline, thigh high split, and a dramatic train. I love the color and since it isn’t very often Naomi wears something that isn’t black or white it would be a really bold moment especially if paired with sleek center parted hair, smokey eyes, red lips, a pair of metallic red Christian Louboutin ‘Jonatina’ PVC strap sandals, and de Grisogono asymmetrical white diamond and ruby drop earrings. Swapping that bold red gown for something black on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party I thought that this uber sexy glam Ralph & Russo Spring 2019 Couture tulle asymmetric gown which features shoulder corsage, hip cutouts, bustle, an asymmetrical satin waist, intricate paillette sequin embroidery all over, long sleeves, and a hip high split was perfect for Naomi. She could keep the same beauty look as I picked for the Elie Saab gown swapping the accessories with a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Follies Strass’ crystal embellished mesh pointed toe pumps and de Grisogono white and black diamond knotted tassel earrings to ensure that both looks are head to toe perfection. Finishing out this list is a really dramatic look I want to see Zendaya bring to life on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. I don’t know how likely this wish is since Zendaya is taking over as the celebrity partner for Tommy Hilfiger’s see now buy now shows. If Zendaya did walk the Vanity Fair red carpet next weekend ahead of that collection drop in Paris on March 2nd I would bet it is wearing a custom Tommy Hilfiger gown. Now with that being said I would LOVE to see Zendaya bring dramatic glamour wearing this mint Azzi & Osta Spring 2019 Couture one shoulder column gown which features a dramatic origami one shoulder detail, tulle cape draped from the shoulder, a pleated skirt, and intricate white floral embroidery on the hem. I think that Azzi & Osta is a bit of an underrated label on the red carpet. The brand does dramatic glamour that no one else does and I typically love it. This gown isn’t going to be easy to wear, but I definitely think that Zendaya has the presence to really make sure that she is wearing this dress and not let the dress wear her. The gown itself is such a statement that I would pair it with a sleek updo, smokey eyes, nude lips, a pair of silver Jimmy Choo ‘Fawne’ peep toe platform sandals, and Hueb ‘Botanica’ diamond and aquamarine cluster earrings to ensure that it is absolute dramatic glamour from head to toe.
The Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party will take place on Sunday February 24, 2019.
