“Palm Springs” Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Palm Springs is a romantic comedy directed by Max Barbakow, in his directorial debut. It stars Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti, Peter Gallagher, Camilla Mendes, and J. K. Simmons, and follows two strangers who meet at a Palm Springs wedding only to get stuck in a time loop. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26, 2020, and is scheduled to be released on July 10, 2020 by Neon via Hulu. It received positive reviews from critics, with praise for the performances and concept.Camila Mendes is really the only star in Palm Springs that I am bummed we won’t get to see walk a red carpet at the films premiere. She has definitely maintained One to Watch status. I’ve been very interested in her style. She’s rocked red carpets wearing looks from Ralph & Russo Couture, Prabal Gurung, Emilio Pucci, Moschino, Lela Rose, Etro, Fendi, and more. When thinking about what this premiere would have looked like I definitely think that this white crepe Cushnie Fall 2020 RTW strapless midi dress which features a column silhouette, gathered detail on side slit, and a curved neckline would have been perfect. I feel like this film would have given an effortlessly glamorous beachy vibe for it’s premiere so this dress definitely would have fit the bill. Keeping that light beachy elegance going I would have styled this dress with soft waves, defined eyes, nude pink lips, an iridescent silver star confetti filled Edie Parker ‘Hardbody Metal’ acrylic clutch, strappy white Le Silla ‘Scarlett 105’ stiletto sandals, and Atelier Swarovski ‘Rainforest Green’ lab created diamond and spinel drop earrings. It definitely would have made for a major fashion moment for Camila to bring to life on the red carpet.
