Well in light of everything that has happened over the last several weeks with the Corona Virus and all the events that have been cancelled. Well the LA premiere of Little Fires Everywhere has been cancelled, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to shut down my wishes for what I would have loved to see the glamorous stars of the new series to wear on this red carpet. If we cannot have a bit of fantasy in this moment then what can we have? Kerry Washington has started to reignite the fire that I have long felt about her style this year after a bit of a wavering in that love. She started working with power stylist Law Roach and having fun with fashion again. When it came to the red carpet at this premiere I really wanted to see Kerry bring something super glamorous to the red carpet with this flapper inspired black Lanvin Fall 2020 RTW high low midi dress which features intricate crystal embellishments and loose ruffles. I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it and honestly am hoping that the label is invited to the (now postponed) Met Gala and creates a custom gown out of this look for someone to own the red carpet. Kerry would know how to really bring this dress to life on the red carpet. Style this look with a vintage inspired updo, defined eyes, red lips, a black ostrich feather and crystal embellished Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ clutch, a pair of chic black suede Jimmy Choo ‘Bel’ peep toe slingback sandals, and white diamond Anita Ko double draped rope earrings with round and pear diamond drops to balance classic and modern glamour in the perfect manner. Reese Witherspoon on the other hand has continued to deliver pretty standard and tired moments on the red carpet. When it comes to her style Reese is pretty standard. She always goes to the same sort of silhouettes. Honestly it wasn’t easy to pick the perfect look for her to wear on this red carpet because I am just so tired of what she has been wearing on the red carpet. This canary yellow J. Mendel Fall 2020 RTW glitter embellished tulle a-line, strapless gown which features a full skirt and midi hemline was really the only thing to really stand out to me when it came to picking a dress for Reese to wear on this red carpet. Now while the dress may be a classic the color is incredible and with the right styling I would imagine this could be a superb fashion moment for Reese to bring to life. Sleek old Hollywood waves, defined eyes, pink lips, metallic gold snakeskin print Aquazzura ‘Forever’ cutout pointed toe leather pumps, and a selection of jewels from Hueb including a pair of 18k gold set white diamond and citrine sunburst cluster earrings and a matching cocktail ring would all ensure that Reese delivers glamour from head to toe.
The premiere of Little Fires Everywhere might not be happening, but the show is slated to start streaming on Hulu tomorrow Wednesday March 18, 2020.
