I have to say that I have absolutely no interested in Dora and the Lost City of Gold. I’ve seen trailers and it just does nothing for me. The cartoon didn’t do anything for me growing up. I remember it being one of the only things on television when I was home from school sick as a kid and counting down the hours until it was time for my favorites like Rugrats, Spongebob Squarepants, and Hey Arnold to come on. So this live action Dora doesn’t excite me. I am interested in seeing what the films premiere will bring, but I don’t really have too high of expectations. I find it very interesting that Nickelodeon cast an 18 year old to play Dora. Don’t get me wrong Isabela Moner is a beautiful girl, but Dora is a young girl and I guess I just don’t get the casting. I definitely want to see Isabela deliver an absolutely glamorous moment on this red carpet. This is her first major staring role and as such I decided to give her a gilded princess moment for this red carpet. It might be a little kitschy to put the star of Dora and the Lost City of Gold in an antique gold Reem Acra Fall 2019 RTW floral embossed silk ball gown, but it was honestly the first gown in my search that spoke to me. I say why not have fun with the theme of the movie and use it to her advantage when picking looks for this red carpet. This gown is chic and feminine and definitely worthy of a young starlet getting her first major movie premiere. A sleek updo, smokey eyes, dark red lips, a pair of gold Gianvito Rossi leather trimmed metallic guipure lace and mesh pointed toe pumps, and statement Anabela Chan ‘Emerald Tassel earrings in 18k yellow and black gold vermeil, with emerald green agate beads and 98 pave-set laboratory-grown and created white diamonds of over 16 carats would definitely ensure that Isabela owns the red carpet at this premiere. I have given up all hopes on any future major moments from Eva Longoria. There once was a time when she would deliver major glamour and drama moments wearing looks from Emilio Pucci, Marchesa, and Elie Saab. Those days have been long behind us. I would love to see her bring that kind of glamour to this red carpet, but I know it is a long shot. I honestly feel like she might bring a simple black suit with a white shirt to this red carpet so the fact I am wishing for her to wear this fuchsia pink Andrew Gn Fall 2019 RTW scarf effect crepe dress which features a one shoulder neckline and a sheath silhouette is already more than I am expecting. Eva can do color so incredibly well. I feel like she would definitely shut down the red carpet wearing this vibrant hue. Now if she does that I definitely want to see her do it in the best way possible. A sleek bun updo, smokey eyes, nude glossy lips, a pair of black Brian Atwood ‘Sienna’ strappy sandals, and statement Fernando Jorge ‘Astro’ cluster earrings in paraiba tourmaline, chrysoprase, and diamonds would definitely make this one of Eva’s best red carpet moments in a while.
The LA premiere of Dora and the Lost City of Gold is expected on Sunday July 28, 2019.
