In LA over the weekend the cast of Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw gathered to present the film to its first audience. Overall the cast was pretty great. It was the simpler styled I should expect from these bigger names for a blockbuster film. I was missing Helen Mirren, and after she didn’t make the trip to LA I decided not to include her in my wishes for the films premiere in London. While the stars on this red carpet Saturday night went a little sleeker and simplistic I really decided to go for the bold with most of my wishes for them to bring to life on the red carpet at the London premiere of Hobbs & Shaw. Vanessa Kirby brought sleek and sexy glamour in black Tom Ford to the red carpet at the LA premiere of this film. It was cool and all, but not really anything that I would write home about. I decided to keep her in black but up the edge and glamour wearing this black intricately beaded Fendi Fall 2019 Couture a-line ball gown which features a geometric strap bodice, a peasant skirt tiered construction. Now the gown is sheer on the runway. I do worry that lining this gown would make it loose some of the magic it had on a runway. I almost want to say that Vanessa should go with nude illusion undergarments to really make this look come to life. I also think that lining it in some sort of anthracite grey sequined fabric could also be really cool while still allowing for the intricate embroidery of the gown to be on full display. Definitely depends on how daring Vanessa is willing to be. No matter which way she decides to go with the lining of this gown the styling I would pair with it is all the same. I would add a sleek side parted low bun, defined eyes, red lips, a pair of black Fendi ‘Fashion Show’ crystal embellished cage sandals, and chic Messika ‘Spiral’ diamond hoop earrings to really make this the major fashion moment I know it can be. Eiza Gonzalez let me down a bit. Her black velvet Lanvin cobra embroidered halter neck tea length gown was very chic, but I just wasn’t feeling the vibe of the look for a premiere like this. For the films red carpet gala premiere in London I really want to see Eiza up the va va voom and glamour wearing this hot off the runway rose gold silk chiffon draped Ralph & Russo Fall 2019 Couture gown which features a micro-pleated bodice and a hand embroidered Art Deco fan adorned with rose gold sequins, pearls and gold stones, finished with a back sash. I definitely believe that this gown has Eiza’s name written all over it. Now yes this gown is more suited to a film festival or awards show red carpet, but you all know my motto #WhenInDoubtBeExtra. So adding old Hollywood waves, winged eyes, pearly rose pink Charlotte Tilbury ‘Dancefloor Princess’ lips, a ballet pink satin Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ clutch with a crystal embellished bow clasp, simple ballet pink Rene Caovilla crystal embellished stiletto sandals, and a pair of major Chopard Red Carpet Collection 2019 ‘Superb’ diamond drop earrings would definitely make this look ready for any major red carpet, but I believe it would be the perfect moment for her to wear for this premiere. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley brought sleek modern glamour wearing a sexy white custom Atelier Versace gown while supporting her finance Jason Statham at the LA premiere of Hobbs and Shaw. For the films premiere in London I decided to go for more of a disco glam look, and of course a British designer. This gold Galvan Fall 2019 RTW thin strap slip style striped gown is not usually the first thing that I think of when it comes to Rosie. In fact when it comes to her style I tend not to think of sequins very often at all. I do believe that this gown, modified to add a train, would be a really chic plus one moment for Rosie to deliver on this red carpet especially if styled with a sleek high bun, defined eyes, burgundy lips, a pair of gold Gianvito Rossi crystal fringe embellished strappy sandals, and simple David Morris 18k gold set yellow diamond briolette ball drop earrings.
The London premiere of Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw will take place on Tuesday July 23, 2019.
