2019 San Diego Comic Con Red Carpet Wish List Part 2

As I mentioned in my first 2019 San Diego Comic Con wish list yesterday I have mixed into my wishes this year films and television series that have confirmed panels at this years convention with some of the films whom I expect to be the big splashes at the show this year. Today’s set of wishes features one of each. The first is a beloved television series who will return to Hall H at the San Diego Comic Con one final time this year and the other is for a Marvel movie which is expected sometime next year.  Starting the list is the cast of Game of Thrones who will be returning to Hall H at the 2019 San Diego Comic Con despite the fact that the show has ended. This panel has been been wrought with criticism since its announcement given how fans have reacted to the series final season. There is talks that the audience plan to “Shame” the show runners. Despite all of the push back there has been many of the cast members of the final season are expected to make the jaunt to San Diego for this final panel. Emilia Clarke was one of the most divisive characters this final season and I am sure that we are going to see her in attendance at the Game of Thrones panel. She loves to have fun with fashion, but for this very casual event I decided to go with this black and purple floral printed Prada sleeveless poplin shirt dress for this event. I think that Comic Con calls for this more chic casual moment than one of the more avant garde styles by Rosie Assoulin or Valentino that she has been wearing lately. This chic feminine and casual moment would be perfectly styled with a sleek bob tucked behind the ears, defined eyes, glossy nude pink lips, and a pair of black Prada slingback low heel pointed toe pumps. Gwendoline Christie has always been one of the more underrated stars on the red carpet. At six foot three inches everything has to be custom made or ordered for Gwendoline. Despite that fact she has been rocking red carpets wearing looks from Gucci, Iris Van Herpen, Miu Miu, Vivienne Westwood, and Dior. For the Game of Thrones panel I would love to see Gwendoline increase her repertoire of designers wearing this beige Max Mara Pre-Fall 2019 ensemble which features a blouson top, belted waist, and high waisted palazzo pants. I knew immediately without going on a big search knowing that this was the perfect look for Gwendoline. Again it is that elevated casual moment that is perfect for a Comic Con panel and fits Gwendoline’s style perfectly and would be finishes perfectly with a wavy hairstyle, defined eyes, rose pink lips, and a pair of simple nude Manolo Blahnik ‘BB90’ pointed toe nappa leather pumps. Sophie Turner has had a chic year on the red carpet so far this year. Most of her looks, including her recently revealed wedding gown, have come courtesy of Louis Vuitton. She is a Louis Vuitton ambassador, so that isn’t much of a surprise. But instead of turning to another look from the label for her for the San Diego Comic-Con instead going for one of the most dazzling and extra looks I’ve picked for someone to wear during Comic-Con this year. I LOVE this pink Paco Rabanne Resort 2020 ensemble which features a ‘Paco Motel’ printed t-shirt paired with a crystal embellished chainmail midi skirt and while it is definitely super extra for this event I definitely can picture it on Sophie. Sleek Veronica Lake waves, thick defined eyes, soft pink lips, a pair of hot pink and silver Louis Vuitton ‘Silhouette’ sandals, and mismatched Messika ‘My Twin Trio’ diamond earrings would add the perfect finishing touches to this ensemble. Now to the Marvel film I am hoping that we see have a panel at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con is The Eternals. I am super excited, yes pun intended, to see Angelina Jolie join the Marvel Universe. She has always been one of my favorite ladies to see on the red carpet. Now that being said when some of my other favorite red carpet stars including Cate Blanchett and Jessica Chastain have joined the Marvel universe my love for what they have worn for their promo tours was actually very minimal. I hope that isn’t the case when it comes to Angelina. I want her to really deliver the major glamour that she is known for. That being said this year also will see the D23 Expo next month where Disney, which owns Marvel Studios, will tout all of their major projects. It makes me wonder just how many Marvel films will be paneled at Comic Con this year. I do want to see how Angelina would handle Comic Con style. I decided to go extra, like I have with most of the other guests, with my wish for Angelina. While I am expecting that if Angie were to attend Comic Con that she would do so in a black Michael Kors or Saint Laurent suit with a silk or chiffon pussy bow blouse in nude or black, however I would love to see her bring a little more fashion to the stage at San Diego Comic-Con with this blue feather print Givenchy Pre-Fall 2019 long sleeve midi dress. Now this isn’t a label that we have seen Angelina wear on the red carpet, but I feel like Clare Waight Keller’s aesthetic for the brand is right up Angelina’s style. This dress paired with easy waves, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of black Givenchy ‘Show’ eel leather pointed toe pumps would be perfection for Angelina. While Comic-Con is typically male dominated. I have just a couple of men in my wishes for this years event. When it comes to menswear it usually takes one of the bigger events to really bring out the major menswear moments, but there are a couple of guys who are expected to promote projects that I am hoping will keep up their love fashion. Richard Madden is one of them. I have definitely really fallen in love with the Scottish actor. He has been giving subtle yet chic moments on the red carpet. A lot of his red carpet moments have come courtesy of Dior Man and for the Comic-Con panel for The Eternals I turned back to the brand again picking this navy blue and grey Dior logomania bomber jacket with silver metallic leopard print from the Dior Man Pre-Fall 2019 collection which was paired with a pair of chic khaki pants for the runway. While a logomania moment isn’t exactly something I associate with Richard I feel like he could make this look come across as easy and sophisticated. I would style the look with a white crew neck t-shirt and a pair of beige Dior Man derbies which feature a neon yellow detail on the bottom of the heel to definitely make the look perfect for Richard to wear for Comic-Con.

The 2019 San Diego Comic-Con will take place from Thursday July 18, 2019 to Sunday July 21, 2019.
