2019 Oscar Parties Red Carpet Wish List Part 5

The Oscar Party circuit can be just as glamorous, if not more, than the red carpet at the main ceremony. Last years Best Dressed of the Year list had one look from the Oscars on it, but I had two looks from the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in contention for the list up until the last minute. I want to see many major Best Dressed of the Year contender moments on the red carpets next Sunday.Anne Hathaway hasn’t really gotten it right for me in a while and that is a huge disappointment because I know she has the potential to really make me go WOW. I would love to see her rock the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party next Sunday. She has been a consistent guest over the years wearing designs from Viktor & Rolf, Saint Laurent, Atelier Versace, Naeem Khan, and more. As I was looking at her past moments on this red carpet I realized that this isn’t a red carpet where she has ever really delivered me a memorable moment. I want that to change next weekend and I definitely think it would with this raped metallic rose pink lamé Jean Louis Sebaj Spring 2019 Couture strapless gown which features a column silhouette and a cascading black velvet floor length bustier. Anne has been experimenting with her more bohemian and edgy sides lately and I think that this gown would definitely play into that edgier side. The gown is edgy yet incredibly glamorous and I think that Anne would be able to sell it to me with ease. Pair it with a sleek rockabilly glam updo, winged eyes, soft pink lips, a rose pink metal croc embossed Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch, a pair of black Rene Caovilla crystal embellished criss-cross satin and leather sandals, and an incredibly glamorous Butani geometric floral diamond necklace and I know that Anne would own this red carpet. Elizabeth Banks has rocked Alexander McQueen, Atelier Versace, Jenny Packham, Chadwick Bell, Ralph & Russo Couture, and Elie Saab Couture over the years on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. She is usually one of the first ladies on the red carpet, who shows up while the telecast is usually still on television, and sets the bar high. I have been a huge fan of Elizabeth’s style for a long time and I am eagerly awaiting what she will wear on the red carpets this year. I decided to go back to Elie Saab Couture and this pink rose print strapless gown from the labels Spring 2019 Couture collection which features an intricate origami draped asymmetrical bodice and a flowing sheer tulle skirt. I put this gown as an option, but since I feel like I am pulling a lot of Elie Saab for Oscar night this year I wanted to see if anything else could click for me more than this gown, but nothing did. It is more of a romantic moment than Elizabeth usually gives us, but I definitely think that she would sell this gown to me with ease, especially if she paired it with a sleek updo, defined eyes, soft pink lips, a pair of blush pink Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudistsong’ glitter strap sandals, and Annabella Chan ‘Quartz Papillon’ rose tourmaline, quartz, and diamond pendant drop earrings.Heidi Klum would attend the opening of an envelope so I feel like it is extremely likely, like 99.99999%, that we will see her on at least one of the Oscar night red carpets. She is one of the co-hosts of the annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party so there is probably where we will see her kick her night off. I have been cringing at a lot of what Heidi has worn on the red carpet lately and I want to see her bring her a-game to the red carpet on Oscar night. The red carpet at the Elton John party is typically a little simpler than the one at the Dolby Theater for the telecast and the one at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for the Vanity Fair Party. I decided to go with a simpler design silhouette wise for Heidi to wear for Elton with this black and gold Georges Hobeika Spring 2019 Couture strapless column gown which features intricate crystal embellishments all over. This gown is definitely something I think Heidi would be drawn to, but it wouldn’t be her typical tacky style. It is a dark sexy and glamorous moment and I think that with a pair of gold studded Christian Louboutin ‘Jamais Azzez’ PVC t-strap sandals, old Hollywood waves, smokey eyes, red lips, and a pair of dazzling Amwaj white and yellow diamond chandelier earrings that Heidi would definitely have a really glam moment on her hands. Now typically she costume change in between the Elton John party and the Vanity Fair party red carpets. I decided to go for more bold drama with the look I want to see Heidi change into for the Vanity Fair party with this turquoise blue Ralph & Russo Spring 2019 Couture asymmetric silk chiffon gown which features hand pleating, goddess draping, and aquamarine Swarovski crystal embellishments. This gown is more of a classic Heidi gown, but it covers her boobs and doesn’t have a thigh high split. I think that she stands a little taller and more statuesque when she wears gowns with this kind of construction and I definitely believe that she would sell this gown to me on this red carpet. Now I would want to see not just a wardrobe change with this gown but a beauty swap too. I would change the hair from down to a sleek updo, the smokey eyes for something more simple and defined, and the red lips, for pink ones. Add a pair of silver Christian Louboutin ‘Nosy’ crystal embellished t-strap pointed toe PVC detail pumps and glamorous Lorraine Schwartz paraiba tourmaline and diamond teardrop pendant earrings and this would definitely be one of Heidi’s best fashion nights in a very, very long time. For the most part in the history Lily Collins on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair party red carpet she has gone for more of a simple column silhouette and as much as I love when she gives a big princess moment on the red carpet I decided to keep that column trend going again this year. I don’t normally feature a whole lot of Tory Burch on here and when I saw this midnight blue column gown which features a wide v-neckline and a sequined pattern come down the brands Fall 2019 RTW collection runway earlier this week I knew I had to use it. It just happened to be presented at the same time I was picking a gown for Lily and the idea just clicked. Lily has never worn a Tory Burch design on the red carpet, but I definitely think that she has the ease and elegance to really make this gown work on the red carpet. I don’t wan to over complicate the gown and keep it a really simple moment so I would add a side parted sleek low bun, defined eyes, dark red lips, a pair of navy satin Miu Miu crystal and pearl buckle sling back pointed toe pumps, & simple Chopard diamond & sapphire drop earrings to ensure this look is head to toe perfection.Finishing out this set of wishes is Taylor Swift. Something tells me that since her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, is in the Best Picture nominated film The Favourite that we just might see Taylor on Oscar night. She made a surprise apperance at the Golden Globe Awards early last month and then skipped the Grammy Awards in favor of being at the BAFTA Awards with Joe this past weekend, so I would think it is incredibly likely we will see her at some point on Oscar night. Will the couple make their official red carpet debut walking the red carpet at the main ceremony arm in arm? I don’t know. But I could see Taylor walking the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party alone before joining Joe inside to party the night away. When I was picking a gown for Taylor to wear on this red carpet I won’t lie I was having a hard time. I almost expect that if we do see her on this red carpet that it will be wearing something custom, but I do think that this antique rose pink Zuhair Murad Spring 2019 Couture gown which features an asymmetrical bodice, sequin embroidery, a metallic pleated overskirt, and a thigh high side split is definitely something that she would be drawn to. It is the perfect balance of sexy and princess and I know Taylor could sell this gown to me on the red carpet with ease. Is it a groundbreaking look for her? No, but when you are walking a red carpet as a plus one they don’t have to be groundbreaking. Add a romantic updo, defined eyes, dark antique rose pink lips, a pair of rose gold Jimmy Choo ‘Lane’ metallic leather sandals, and Boucheron morganite and diamond pendant drop earrings and Taylor would have an absolutely glamorous moment on her hands.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party will take place on Sunday February 24, 2019.
