Oscar night is easily one of the most star studded and glamorous nights of the year. We have so many different red carpets from the main ceremony to the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party to the Vanity Fair Oscar After-Party and I am super excited to see what everyone will be bringing to the red carpet. As fashion weeks happen around the world ahead of the Oscars I am going through my wishes for the parties so that I can have as many options as possible for the main ceremony red carpet. Amandla Stenberg is one of the many presenters confirmed to attend the Oscars ceremony next week. This will be her first time on the Oscars red carpet, and I would think it is a safe bet to say that she will also most likely walk the red carpet at the Vanity Fair party after. I think I have this really cool custom Proenza Schouler gown designed for Amandla to wear on the red carpet at the main ceremony, though I am still weighing all of my options. So with that look in the back of my mind I wanted to go with something shorter and flirtier for Amandla to wear on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair party after the main show. That is why I picked this black Giambattista Valli Spring 2019 Couture mini dress which features puffy sleeves, a sheer yoke, lots of ruffles, a full skirt, and intricate embellishments. It would be this subtly sexy romantic moment for Amandla and I think that it is a perfect after party dress. Finish it with a sleek braided updo, smokey eyes, nude lips, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Miragirl’ crystal embellished PVC pointed toe pumps with chiffon ribbon ankle cuffs, and statement Amwaj diamond and ruby earrings. Elizabeth Debicki is one of the few ladies on the cover of the 2019 Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue that isn’t nominated at this years Oscars. She hasn’t been announced as a presenter either, but I would love to see her on the red carpet at the magazines annual Oscar party to hob-nob with other stars and industry peeps. I think it is just a matter of time until we see her on the red carpet at the Oscars. I had originally picked the black Armani Prive gown that Elizabeth had worn for the BAFTA Awards this past weekend for her to wear on this red carpet. While it was a “wish come true” I wasn’t impressed with how she styled the look. It took on more of a rock look than the 20’s glam moment I wanted it to be. So I had to go back to the drawing board. I decided to dig a little deeper into the archive and pick something really dramatic and glamorous. I have been waiting to see this lilac Armani Prive Spring 2016 Couture one shoulder ball gown which features an embellished rosette on the shoulder, an organza overlay, and a hand painted crystal embellished pattern on the skirt since it first came down the runway. I am honestly surprised that no one has worn it yet, but I think that Elizabeth would definitely be able to make this a really glam moment on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar party red carpet especially if she paired it with a sleek updo, defined eyes, rose pink lips, a pair of silver Sophia Webster ‘Rosalind’ crystal sphere heel mule sandals, and a pair of chic Chopard Red Carpet Collection amethyst and tsavorite pendant earrings. Jennifer Lopez is also presenting next Sunday at the Oscars and after that major Ralph & Russo Couture hat moment at the Grammy Awards I am really excited to see what she is going to bring to the red carpets of Oscar night. I haven’t totally made up my mind about the gown I want to see her wearing on the red carpet at the main ceremony yet, but for the Vanity Fair after party I want to see her give the full classic JLo look in a gold Elie Saab Spring 2019 Couture embellished mermaid gown which features halter straps, a sweetheart neckline, sheer paneled skirt, and a sweeping train. This is something we could definitely expect to see Jennifer wearing on the red carpet and it it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I will say that whatever I pick for her to wear for the red carpet it will probably be something completely opposite of this look. I don’t want to over do this look do I would finish it with old Hollywood waves, smokey eyes, nude lips, a pair of gold Christian Louboutin ‘Jamais Azzez’ studded PVC sandals, and dazzling vintage Harry Winston diamond and emerald earrings to ensure this look is sexy glamour from head to toe. Riverdale star Lili Reinhart has been making the rounds at many of the big awards shows as a guest at least. I don’t know if she will be at the Oscars ceremony, but I would expect to see her on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. I turned to the same designer who created the red tulle confection that Lili wore for the Golden Globe Awards to find the perfect gown for her to wear for this red carpet. I went with simple yet glamorous with this black Khyeli Fall 2018 RTW strapless gown which features intricate silver crystal embellishments and tiered triangle pleats down the skirt of the gown. I tend to think that Lili picks looks that are way too overcooked and I think that this more streamlined style is perfect for her to wear for the Vanity Fair red carpet. Pair it with a sleek side parted low bun updo, smokey eyes, red lips, a silver crystal mesh Tyler Ellis ‘Perry’ clutch, simple black Aquazzura ‘Purist’ sandals, and a selection of Nikos Koulis ‘Oui’ collection jewels including a pair of white gold earrings with pear shape, half moon and tapered white diamonds and black enamel and a white gold cocktail ring with pear shape white diamond and black enamel and it very well could be one of Lili’s best red carpet moments ever. When it comes to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party red carpet we can always count on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to deliver a major glam moment on the red carpet. I almost put the mint Ralph & Russo Couture goddess gown that she wore on this red carpet last year on my Best Dressed of the Year list. I want to see Rosie top that look and give me a major Best Dressed of the Year worthy moment, so I turned to Clare Waight Keller’s Givenchy Couture. Rosie has been wearing a lot of Givenchy lately and I definitely think that she would be able to make this bright yellow Givenchy Spring 2019 Couture ensemble which features a corseted peplum bodice, skintight pant boots, and a sheer white 3D floral embroidered column overskirt work on the red carpet like not many could. I LOVED this look on the runway, but I wondered who could really be able to make it work off the runway and who better than a statuesque supermodel. The look obviously doesn’t need shoes so I would just finish the look with a sleek updo, defined eyes, soft pink lips, and a pair of Harry Winston white and yellow diamond cluster drop earrings. If this wish comes true I hope one of my regular readers will call 911 because I will be left dead on the floor.
The Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party will take place on Sunday February 24, 2019.
