2019 Oscar Parties Red Carpet Wish List Part 1

Alright we are now on our way to Oscar night. Over the next several days I am going to go through all my wishes for the Oscar parties, then jump back a day with my wishes for the Independent Spirit Awards, and then give you all my wishes for the Oscars telecast red carpet. All of this in the next 12 days. It is going to be a busy and glamorous next couple of days. Are you ready for it? Because here we go. Alessandra Ambrosio is usually on the red carpets on Oscar night at at least one of the big parties that happen. I would love to see her rock the red carpet at both the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party and the Vanity Fair Oscar After-Party, and I would like to see her doing so in two different gowns. The red carpet at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party is usually less dramatic than what we see at the Vanity Fair party so I would love to see Alessandra kick the night off wearing this silver Zuhair Murad Spring 2019 Couture fully crystal embellished column gown which features thin straps, off the shoulder sleeves, corsetry, and a belted waist. It is sexy and glamorous without being overt. I don’t want to see Alessandra wearing any sheer gowns on the red carpet this year (I know that is a big hope.) This gown with a silver crystal embellished Christian Louboutin ‘Palmette’ clutch, sleek center parted hair tucked behind the ears, punchy pink lips, a pair of silver Christian Louboutin ‘Jonatina’ PVC strap sandals, and Amwaj diamond double drop earrings would be perfection on Alessandra. For the mid evening wardrobe change for the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party I want to see Alessandra bring more of a dramatic moment to the red carpet picking this dark metallic blue Zuhair Murad Spring 2019 Couture strapless ballgown which features a thin belted waist, ruffle detail along the hip and side split, and a dramatic train. This is typical a style we would more see Ale wearing on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, but it would definitely be a totally perfect and appropriate moment for Oscar night especially with a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Follies Strass’ crystal embellished mesh pointed toe pumps, a sleek high bun, smokey eyes, glossy nude lips, and a statement Amwaj diamond collar necklace. I don’t know if we will see Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone on the red carpets of Oscar night, but if we do I would imagine it would be at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. She knows how to deliver some really bold style moments on the red carpet so I would love to see her head over to Hollywood next weekend. I went for a bold gown with this strapless black and red Alexander McQueen Resort 2019 wave pattern gown which features a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, and a tiered mermaid skirt. I fell in love with this gown when the lookbook was finally released back in December and I have been waiting for the right person and the right event to be able to use it. I would leave the black leather corset belt at home though. I think that makes the look too edgy for Deepika, but without it I think it would be perfection. I would add a black Alexander McQueen ‘Queen and King’ kiss lock box clutch, a sleek high top knot, smokey eyes, dark red lips, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Aribak’ peep toe d’orsay butterfly heel sandals, and a statement Jaipur Gems Burmese ruby and diamond collar necklace to really make sure that Deepika delivers a truly major moment on this Oscar night red carpet. I am sure that we will be seeing Irina Shayk on the red carpet at both the Oscars and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on the arm of her nominated beau Bradley Cooper. She has been at most of the events this awards season, but aside from the Golden Globe Awards where she rocked Atelier Versace all of her looks this awards season have been a little more understated than I have been expecting. I want to see Irina give us the most on Oscar night with dramatic unapologetic glamour and that is exactly what I have picked for her with this white and silver Roberto Cavalli Spring 2019 Couture scoop neck mermaid gown which features crystal embellished sheer construction and a dramatic feathered hem. This gown really gives me major Cher vibes and I definitely think that Irina could really sell this gown to me. She knows how to do unapologetic sexy glamour like few others can and I definitely think that she will be on her full game at the Vanity Fair party especially if she paired this gown with a sleek high pony, smokey eyes, nude lips, white Gianvito Rossi crystal embellished satin sandals, and a pair of absolutely amazing emerald Chopard Red Carpet Collection chandelier earrings. Laura Harrier is going to be an ambassador for the Green Carpet Challenge next Sunday at the Oscars. She will wear sustainable fashion. In the past other stars who have represented this initiative on the red carpet at the Oscars wearing archive looks, re-wearing past red carpet looks, and wearing custom designs using sustainable materials. I am wondering what she will wear. Before I learned that she was going to participating in this challenge I had asked my photoshop wizard to modify a hot off the runway Brock Collection Fall 2019 RTW gown for Laura to wear on this red carpet. On the runway this black peplum gown which features a corseted bodice, intricate gold embroidery, and an a-line skirt had short full cap sleeves and I just didn’t think that was very Laura. She does love a good Brock Collection moment on the red carpet and so I would love to see them modify that runway gown to be a strapless sweetheart neckline moment. I definitely think that Laura could sell the modified version of this gown to me on the red carpet. A sleek updo, defined eyes, bold red lips, a black shiny crocodile leather Louis Vuitton ‘Petite Boite Chapeau’ top handle evening bag, a pair of black Louis Vuitton ‘Horizon’ crocodile leather logo detail ankle strap sandals, and a pair of vintage gold and pearl Bulgari doorknocker earrings would definitely complete this look in a very bold and glamorous way. Rachel Weisz is nominated and I am expecting to see her on the red carpet at both the main ceremony and the Vanity Fair party afterwords. I am making Oscar night a Chloe night for Rachel. I definitely think that she could rock some custom Chloe looks on Oscar night, especially if they are done right. I spent last week working on the custom gown for her to wear for the actual show and I cannot wait to show you what me and my girl Evita have cooked up. But before that I decided that I wanted to have a costume change for Rachel because that ceremony gown is super dramatic. I had created this chic and edgy fashion moment inspired by a Chloe cocktail dress I found on FarFetch which features a v-neck, short sleeves, sequin embroidery, column skirt, and a belted waist a while ago for Letitia Wright to wear for the 2018 Emmy Awards and when I was thinking about what I wanted to see Rachel change into I thought of this custom look. I definitely think that if Rachel changed out of her ceremony gown into something else for the Vanity Fair party that it had to be simple, and so I definitely think this sleek gown is the perfect option for her. Add chic waves, defined eyes, red lips, a black Gianvito Rossi box clutch, a pair of black Gianvito Rossi simple style crystal embellished sandals, and dazzling art deco inspired Cartier diamond and emerald drop earrings all would add the perfect finishing touches to this moment.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party will take place on Sunday February 24, 2019.
