2019 Grammy Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 8

Alright here we go my last 4 wishes for tomorrow nights Grammy Awards red carpet. I am excited to see what everyone will bring. I am sending prayers to the gods and goddesses of fashion and beauty to really ensure that I am blown away by the looks that come down this red carpet tomorrow night. Anna Kendrick is a frequent flyer at the Grammy Awards. I looked back on all the looks that she has worn on this red carpet over the years and to be honest I wasn’t thrilled with any of them. While I remembered she had been a Grammy’s presenter several times I don’t really recall any of her red carpet looks. I am interested in seeing what she will bring to the red carpet tomorrow night though. I want something fun and dazzling so I turned to this iridescent crystal embellished seafoam and purple Zuhair Murad Spring 2019 Couture faux wrap style mini dress which features long sleeves, belted waist, and a plunging neckline. This dress is a little bit outside of what we typically see from Anna, but I think that it would be a perfect sexy glam look for her to rock on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards especially when paired with a sleek low bun, smokey eyes, soft pink glossy lips, pale gold Christian Louboutin ‘Choca’ specchio and glitter mesh strappy sandals, and a pair of white sliced diamond L’Dezen by Payal Shah drop earrings. Jada Pinkett Smith has laid pretty low since she launched the #OscarsSoWhite boycott campaign a few

years ago. She has been back on the grind a bit as of late though and she is confirmed to be one of the presenters tomorrow night at the Grammy Awards. I thought about picking a mini dress for Jada because she just doesn’t age and knows how to deliver sex appeal on the red carpet. Instead I opted for disco chic with this rose gold Azzaro Fall 2018 Couture metallic pleated gown which features a sleeveless design, plunging neckline, metal belted waist, and an a-line skirt. I saw this gown and it was just something I felt like Jada could really sell to me on this red carpet. I know that Jada would infuse her sexy diva-tude into this gown and if she added a sleek pixie, winged defined eyes, dark rose pink lips, a pair of rose gold Malone Souliers ‘Terry’ sandals, and Ruwaya ‘Pink Dancing Doll’ sliced pink sapphire and diamond chandelier earrings that this would be a perfect look for her major red carpet return. Katy Perry will be performing tomorrow night with Dolly Parton, Little Big Town, Maren Morris, and Kacey Musgraves in a tribute to Dolly’s iconic songbook. They were all actually on the red carpet last night at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala where Dolly was honored. Katy wore a dramatic floral Elie Saab gown and matching sequined boots and I wasn’t totally thrilled with it. I wish she left the boots at home in favor of strappy sandals, but oh well hindsight 2020. On the red carpet tomorrow night I decided to turn to one of Katy’s favorite designers Alexis Mabille. The French couturier is vastly underrated and so I applaud that Katy wears his dramatically chic looks on the red carpet. I would love to see her take to the red carpet wearing this Alexis Mabille Spring 2019 ‘Generous’ corolla dress in red crepe, lace and organza, with matching oversized satin bow. It is that dramatic glam moment I know that Katy loves and I know that she would own this gown on this red carpet. It is dramatic glamour defined and I want to see Katy keep that spirit alive with a chic pixie style, defined eyes, red lips, a pair of red Christian Louboutin ‘Degrastrass’ crystal embellished PVC pointed toe pumps, and a suite of vintage Cartier diamond and ruby jewels once owned by Elizabeth Taylor to really ensure that this look is absolute perfection from head to toe. Nina Dobrev has been a regular at other music awards shows like the American Music Awards and the MTV VMA’s. She has always been one whose style I have taken an interest, but last year her former stylist Ilaria Urbinati seemed to drop all of her female clients to focus on her menswear styling and design collaborations. Since then she bounced between Chris Horan and Kate Young. She seems to be sticking with Kate Young, who also dresses Margot Robbie and Dakota Johnson. I don’t know how I feel about that. To be honest I think Nina would work really well with Karla Welch or Law Roach. I do want her to deliver a really fashionable moment for her first Grammy’s tomorrow night so I went with a mint, white, and blush Balmain Spring 2019 RTW asymmetric pleated silk bustier gown which features intricate pleating, a silver tone brass pleated detail wide belted waist, high low hemline, geometric embellishments, and multicolored layered detailing along the strapless silhouette. This dress is definitely a statement and really the Grammy Awards is the only red carpet I think it would really work for. It is such a statement that I would style it very simply with a sleek side parted updo, defined eyes, pink lips, a pair of silver Casadei ‘Blade’ t-bar metallic leather sandals, and chic Messika ‘Persée’ diamond cuff earrings to really make this look the perfect moment for Nina to rock on her first Grammy’s red carpet.

The 2019 Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday February 10, 2019.
