After that quick break earlier to go back to my BAFTA Awards wishes I am back on the Grammy train. I’m almost done. Tomorrow is the last day, and I have quite a few that I want to get into today first. Below we have plus ones, nominees, and performers.Chrissy Teigan is almost always on the arm of hubby John Legend when he is on the Grammy Awards red carpet. She always brings the glamour to the red carpet and I am expecting something chic from her on Sunday night. I wanted to make sure I complimented the burgundy velvet Etro tuxedo jacket I picked for John a few days ago so I decided I wanted to see Chrissy give us sexy gold glamour on this red carpet wearing this gold Nicolas Jebran Capsule Couture 2019 sequined long sleeve column gown. It is definitely a very sexy take on glamour and I believe that Chrissy would easily sell it to me on this red carpet tomorrow night especially if she paired with a sleek bun updo, smokey eyes, red lips, a pair of gold Jimmy Choo ‘Misty’ sandals, and statement pink tourmaline and pave-set sapphire, diamond, and amethyst Anabela Chan ‘Feather’ drop earrings. Christina Aguilera doesn’t really do anything for me. It has been a really long time since we have seen a major moment from her. She has two nominations this year and I want her to really wow me. It has been a long time. I saw this beautiful silvery grey Tony Ward Spring 2019 Couture strapless ballgown which features a sweetheart neckline, waterfall pleats, intricate crystal embellishments, and a sweeping train and it reminded me of the major glamour moments Christina used to have and I think that is exactly what I am craving from her. A sleek updo, winged eyes, red lips, a pair of silver lace Christian Louboutin ‘Jose Altafine’ platform sandals, and a statement Butani diamond necklace would all ensure that this is an absolutely major high glam moment for Christina to bring to life on this red carpet. Since both the BAFTA and Grammy Award nominations had been announced I wondered which of the two events Lady Gaga would attend. I found out the answer to that question earlier this week. She will attend the Grammy Awards. Not just attend, but also perform. I have loved almost everything that Gaga has worn since she kicked off the promo tour for A Star Is Born. Almost all of her nominations this year are for the hit song “Shallow” off the films soundtrack. She has already won a Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award for the song and I am expecting her to take home at least one of those five Grammy’s for the song on Saturday night. I know that Gaga will give us multiple looks on Sunday night. For the red carpet I went into the Stephane Rolland archive picking this white sculpted skirt gown which features a dramatic center split and train and a silver crystal embellished strapless bodice from the brands Spring 2015 Couture collection. It is the perfect meshing of the drama and edge needed for the Grammy’s red carpet and all the glamour that Gaga has been delivering while promoting A Star Is Born. It would be absolute perfection with a beautiful sleek vintage inspired updo, defined eyes, red lips, a pair of silver Casadei ‘Blade Aurora’ strappy sandals, and a Harry Winston diamond collar necklace. She is confirmed to be performing with her “Shallow” co-writer Mark Ronson and I am wondering what how she will perform it. I think that since she is the solo vocal artist that for this performance that she will start out with a soft acoustic version and then where the riff happens go all big band. I want to see Gaga deliver an absolutely dazzling moment having this silver crystal embellished Tom Ford Fall 2019 RTW gown which features a plunging chain detail neckline and a matching cardigan. I think it could be the perfect look to really compliment the instrumentation of the song I want to hear her perform. I would compliment this look with a pair of hot off the runway Tom Ford silver crystal embellished peep toe platform pumps, hair let down into loose waves, smokey eyes, red lips, and Harry Winston diamonds including a pair of pendant drop cluster earrings and a fringe bracelet. Finally I wouldn’t expect Gaga to change back into that Stephane Rolland gown after her wardrobe change for her performance. So I found this black Khyeli Spring 2018 RTW feathered high low gown and it just totally clicked. It is much more of a standard Grammy’s gown and I definitely know that Gaga could rock the hell out of it on the red carpet. A sleek low bun, smokey eyes, red lips, black satin Aquazzura ‘Concorde’ crystal embellished d’orsay peep toe pumps, and vintage Harry Winston diamond and emerald drop earrings would ensure that Gaga is three for three with her wardrobe changes on Grammy night.
Miley Cyrus is performing this weekend and I am really excited to see what she will bring to life on this red carpet. She really showcased her softer side last year wearing vintage Jean Paul Gaultier Couture and Zac Posen. I loved them and she has just continued to deliver chic moments on the red carpet ever since. I have been waiting for the right girl and right red carpet to use this rose gold Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 Couture silk moirée faille jumpsuit which features a draped bodice and plunging neckline, accompanied by a voluminous overskirt with train and it was the perfect fit to me for Miley. I feel like she has been in the back of my mind for this look, but I didn’t have the right red carpet for her to really make this look work. It is sexy and glamorous and I definitely think that it would work for Miley with old Hollywood waves, defined eyes, bright pink lips, a pair of soft pink Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Alina Bow’ strappy sandals, and hot pink rubelitte Chopard Red Carpet Collection chandelier earrings. St. Vincent has two Grammy nominations and is expected to perform with Best New Artist nominee Dua Lipa. She has never been one of the most interesting style stars out there, but I think that she has some potential. She rocked nothing but Saint Laurent mini’s for the Oscars last year. For the Grammy’s red carpet on Sunday I would love to see St. Vincent wearing this black liquid sequin Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2019 Couture tea length gown which features a plunging neckline, long sleeves with a deflated puffy shoulder, a crystal buckle detail, and a bell shaped skirt. I was originally going to pick a Saint Laurent mini for her to wear, but as I was backing out of the folder where this gown was I knew it was the perfect choice. Of course I didn’t completely kick YSL out of this look adding a pair of black Saint Laurent ‘Paris’ crystal embellished stiletto mules. Finish the look with a sleek bob, defined eyes, red lips, and Hueb ‘Luminus’ black diamond cluster earrings and I believe this look would definitely be one for St. Vincent’s red carpet record book..
The 2019 Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday February 10, 2019.
