Well it’s finally here! My final set of wishes for the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival. As I have said several times over the last couple of days I really want every a-list star to bring drama and glamour to the red carpet since there aren’t that many in the ranks of the films selected for this years festival. There are a few big stars who are appearing What She Said: The Art of Pauline Kael and I am really excited to see who will come out to Berlin for the premiere of this documentary. Sarah Jessica Parker is on that list and I am PRAYING that she will jump on a jet and show up on the red carpet in Berlin for this premiere. She is one of the stars named as giving an appearance in this documentary and is really the biggest style star among them. I really want to see SJP bring drama to this red carpet and so I picked this bright Cinderella blue silk taffeta Elie Saab Spring 2019 Couture ball gown which features an asymmetrical draped portrait neckline, a 3D crystal broach detail on one hit, a side split, and a dramatic train. I have to say I don’t know if anyone but SJP could sell this look to me on the red carpet. I don’t typically like taffeta because I always feel it looks dated, but something deep in my soul says that Sarah could make this look work. I would finish the look with silver SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker ‘Trinity’ ankle strap d’orsay crystal buckle detail glitter pumps, a sleek large high bun updo, smokey eyes, soft pink lips, and statement Chopard Red Carpet Collection aquamarine pendant drop earrings to really ensure that this look just exudes dramatic glamour from head to toe.Since this is my final wish for the 2019 Berlin Film Festival you had to know I have one more wish for jury president Juliette Binoche to bring to life on the red carpet. She always gives me looks I get excited about and I am really interested to see all of the looks that she and her stylist are cooking up for her run during the festival. I am finishing things off in bold and glamorous style with this red one shoulder Atelier Versace Spring 2019 RTW column gown which features a draped cape sleeve, 3-D floral details on the shoulder, a fitted silhouette, and a thigh high split. I wanted one final really chic moment to complete my wishes for Juliette and the moment I saw this gown I knew it was the perfect finishing moment. It could easily be the gown I would say that Juliette should select for the festivals closing ceremony. Add a romantic updo, smokey eyes, red lips, a pair of red satin Aquazzura ‘Forever Marilyn’ pointed toe tassel detail pumps, and simple Chopard Red Carpet Collection diamond and ruby drop earrings and I know that this would be another really glamorous moment for Juliette to wear for her role as the Berlinale jury president.
The 2019 Berlin Film Festival opens on Thursday February 7, 2019 and runs through Sunday February 17, 2019.
