2019 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 14

Well the time has come. My final set of wishes for the 2019 Golden Globe Awards. We are just 24 hours out from the red carpet now. I cannot wait. I have a feeling I won’t be sleeping much tonight I am so excited. I am expecting lots of drama. These last six wishes aren’t exactly what I am expecting to be major best dressed list worthy moments, but for each of these ladies this could very well be a personal best. Amy Poehler has never been one of my favorite’s on the red carpet, but I am still hoping that when she steps on to the red carpet tomorrow night that she delivers that personal best moment on this red carpet. Back in the days where Amy helped co-host the Globes with Tina Fey she turned to Stella McCartney to create all her custom looks for the night and those are some of the best moments that she has ever had style wise. I saw this sapphire blue Stella McCartney stretch cady gown which features a halter neck, open back, and a flared silhouette on the Saks Fifth Avenue website and thought it would be perfect. It might be the same cut as the gown the Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex wore for her wedding reception, but I have a feeling this gown will be on many red carpets in many colors. I think that blue is perfect for Amy to wear on the Golden Globe Awards red carpet especially if she pairs it with a romantic updo, defined eyes, red lips, black Badgley Mischka ‘Volare’ crystal embellished heel d’Orsay satin pumps, and Hueb ‘Mirage’ blue tanzanite and diamond cluster earrings. Carol Burnett, who will be receiving the inaugural Carol Burnett Award, was asked who she wanted to present her the award tomorrow night at the Golden Globes and she said “Angelina Jolie, who else?” So while Angie has not been officially named as a presenter for tomorrow nights show I decided I wanted to make sure that if the Hollywood Foreign Press Association decides to surprise Carol with Angie that I had a wish out there for her. I have wanted to see Angelina give us this royal blue Elie Saab Fall 2016 Couture draped velvet gown since it first came down the runway in July of 2016. I figured out of all the looks from this collection that this was going to be one snatched up really quickly. So I am shocked that it is two and a half years later that this gown still hasn’t been worn. I believe that Angelina has the statuesque glamour to really make this gown come to life on the red carpet. A pair of matching blue Gianvito Rossi suede d’Orsay ankle strap sandals, a sleek updo, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of vintage Harry Winston diamond and sapphire diamond earrings would all ensure this look is head to toe perfection. Felicity Huffman has been favoring pants looks for major red carpets in recent years. I thought about a pants look for her for tomorrow night, but I saw this black Pamella Roland Pre-Fall 2019 strapless gown which an embroidered, fitted bodice, a sheer cape and a column silhouette and I just loved the image that flashed across my mind of Felicity in this gown. I really do believe that this gown is perfect for Felicity and would definitely up her style game a million percent. A romantic updo, defined eyes, nude lips, a silver jet Judith Leiber Couture crystal slide lock clutch, black Sophia Webster ‘Rosalind’ crystal heel sandals, and a pair of Cartier diamond and onyx art deco pendant drop earrings would finish it out perfectly. Gina Rodriguez has been getting better and better on the red carpet, but I honestly had no idea what to pick for her to wear for tomorrow night. I saw this navy Tadashi Shoji Spring 2019 RTW column gown which features sequin panels down the sides, draped cold shoulder sleeves, a halter neck, and a keyhole cutout and something just made me think it was right. I know that Gina has worn a lot higher caliber designer than Tadashi on the red carpet, but I think that the shape of this gown would fit her curves perfectly and when paired with a sleek updo, navy smokey eyes, soft pink lips, a navy Judith Leiber Couture ‘Cherry Cayman’ crocodile box clutch, navy Rene Caovilla crystal studded ankle wrap sandals, and chic Butani diamond drop earrings I think it could be one of her best red carpet looks yet. I don’t know if Jamie Lee Curtis will bring fashun to the red carpet tomorrow night, but when she was announced as a presenter tomorrow I immediately thought of this blue and gold striped J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2019 long sleeve gown which features a v-neckline, a column silhouette and metallic embroidery throughout. I really do believe that this gown would be gorgeous on her. It would amp up some sex appeal and she would make it a chic moment on this red carpet. A gold Bottega Veneta woven chain knot clasp clutch, her chic pixie, defined eyes, nude lips, and gold Tom Ford laminated leather pointed toe pumps all would make this a very chic moment for Jamie. And last up is funny lady Maya Rudolph. She often wears looks so oversized in their fit that she swims in what shes wearing. I want to see Maya deliver something that fits well, but is still covered up (because that is what she prefers.) I found this red Carolina Herrera jewel neck gown which features a v-back, long sleeve with tied cuffs, and an a-line skirt with pleated tulle pleats and it was the easy choice for me to make for Maya to wear on tomorrow nights red carpet. It is simple and chic and that is exactly what I think that we will see from whatever Maya wears tomorrow night. Old Hollywood waves, defined eyes, nude lips, a red satin Roger Vivier ‘Enveloppe’ crystal buckle clutch, and a pair of red Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ pumps all would add just the right touches to ensure this look is head to to toe chic.

The 2019 Golden Globe Awards will take place on Sunday January 6, 2019.
