Tomorrow are the 2019 Golden Globe Awards. I am expecting so many major moments that I cannot event contain my excitement for the glamour I am expecting to see come down the red carpet tomorrow night at the Beverly Hilton. From nominees to presenters to plus ones to everyone else I know that this year the Golden Globe Awards are going to deliver so many major red carpet moments. I can feel it in my soul. It has been a real hot minute since Camilla Belle has been to one of the major red carpet events. This year she Camilla has partnered with Moet & Chandon, the official champagne partner of the Golden Globe Awards, for Toast For A Cause. She created a signature champagne cocktail and is using the platform to raise money for international aid, equal representation, and disaster relief. So I am really excited to see what she is planning to bring to the red carpet tomorrow night. I went to this aubergine taffeta Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2019 off the shoulder mermaid gown which features a sweetheart neckline, fitted laced corset detail bodice, a voluminous draped hem, and linear seaming details at bust and hip. Camilla knows how to bring glamour to a red carpet and while she typically opts for more flowy and flirtatious looks on the red carpet this Zac Posen gown delivers a structured old Hollywood vibe. I think that with a sleek side parted updo, defined winged eyes, soft antique rose pink lips, a pair of silver Prada strappy sandals, and a statement Van Cleef & Arpels diamond collar necklace that Camilla would definitely have no issues regaining her high fashion red carpet footing. Emmy Rossum almost always walks a major red carpet every time her husband Sam Esmail is nominated for an award. Since he is one of the writers and producers of the Best Television Series – Drama nominated show Homecoming it would surprise me not to see Emmy on the red carpet. I will always take any excuse to see Emmy bring her glamour to the red carpet. She loves big bold moments and that is exactly what I picked for her to wear in this red carpet. I have been waiting for the perfect pairing of right girl right event to put this black Jason Wu Collection Spring 2019 RTW pleated tulle ball gown which features asymmetric tulle tiers along a strapless maxi silhouette and a sweeping train and it was honestly the first thing I thought of for Emmy. It might be a little bigger than she has worn as a plus one in the past, but I definitely think that it is the perfect look for her to bring to life on this red carpet. I would pair it with a black, silver, and gold crystal embellished Judith Leiber Couture ‘Star Kaboom’ tassel detail minaudiere, a sleek updo, smokey eyes, soft red lips, a pair of black sequin Aquazzura ‘Studio’ strappy sandals, and a selection of Anita Ko diamonds including small ‘Rain Drop’ fringe earrings and a very glamorous ‘Kelly’ choker to ensure this look is nothing but glamour from head to toe. We can usually expect to see Leslie Mann on these red carpets even if she isn’t nominated or presenting. She was among the stars who helped announced the 2019 Golden Globe Award nominations last month, so I would expect that we will see her on the red carpet tomorrow night. She tends to stick to her repertoire of designers, but as I was searching for the perfect gown for her to wear for this years ceremony I saw this navy blue Dany Atrache Fall 2018 Couture fully embellished goddess draped gown and I thought it would be perfection on Leslie. The color alone is perfect for her. A red head in blue is almost always a perfect match and I know that Leslie in this gown with a vintage inspired updo, defined eyes, red lips, a navy blue glitter Marchesa rock crystal clasp box clutch, navy satin Oscar de la Renta chunky heel sandals, and a pair of very glamorous Martin Katz trillion cut tanzanite drop earrings would make my heart swoon. Coming off her EE Rising Star nomination at the 2019 BAFTA Awards this week I definitely think that we will see Black Panther star Letitia Wright on the red carpet tomorrow night. She pretty much came out of nowhere. I almost forgot she was part of the Black Panther ensemble because her looks during the promo tour for that film were lackluster and forgettable. Fast forward two months to the Avengers: Infinity War promo tour and beyond Letitia has been delivering major glam on the red carpet in coveted brands including Gucci, Chanel, and Prada. She has definitely become one to watch for me and while she isn’t nominated or presenting I have a feeling that she will deliver a major moment to prove that she can hang with the likes of her co-stars Danai Gurira and Lupita Nyong’o. I picked another gown that I have been lusting to use but just haven’t had the right person or event pairing for it to be a moment. I have loved this pastel lime Giambattista Valli Spring 2018 Couture gown which features a bandeau top, cutout empire waist, cape detail, crystal trimmed thin straps, and a flowing skirt since it first came down the runway almost a year ago. It wasn’t picked up for Grammy’s or Oscars or Cannes and I am finally hoping that we see it on the red carpet tomorrow night. Letitia has this effortless sense of style and I definitely think that she would be able to really sell this look to me with that effortless ease. I wouldn’t want complicated styling to bring this gown down so I would just pair it with a simple short hairstyle, defined eyes, nude semi glossy lips, a pearl and gold Inge Christopher swarovski crystal embellished minaudiere, silver Aquazzura ‘Linda’ metallic leather sandals, and Cartier diamond and peridot earcuffs. Marina de Tavira is going to be one of the breakout stars this awards season. She is one of the stars of Roma, which is garnering all kinds of buzz and has already deliver chic moments in Erdem and Michael Kors at events this week. She is being styled by Kate Hudson’s stylist Sophie Lopez and I am very excited to see what the two are cooking up for tomorrow nights red carpet. I wanted to go with a bold color opting for this forest green Oscar de la Renta Spring 2019 RTW asymmetrically draped chiffon gown which features a column silhouette and a thigh high side split. Based on Marina’s past looks I’m not sure she would be one to rock all that cutout on a red carpet so I would probably ask the Oscar de la Renta creative directors Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim if they would recreate this gown with a solid bodice. I think that would allow for modesty, but not ruin the glamour of the gown in the lest. The perfect finishing touches to this look would include an emerald green Edie Parker ‘Jean’ marbled acrylic clutch, a vintage inspired updo, defined dark green smokey eyes, crimson red lips, a pair of matching forest green Oscar de la Renta ‘Flex’ sandals, and a selection of vintage jewelry from Fred Leighton jewels including a pair of 19th century diamond chandelier earrings and a selection of art deco diamond and emerald rings . Yalitza Aparicio is also one I am watching closely to see what she will bring to the red carpet at the Golden Globes tomorrow night with her Roma co-star Marina. Yalitza has been giving us a mix of different labels on the red carpet and when I was thinking of the perfect look for her to wear on tomorrow nights red carpet I was thinking of this blush and gold foil printed Christian Dior Spring 2019 RTW draped gown which features braided straps, a v-neckline, belted waist, all over pleated construction, and a flowing a-line skirt. To fit all of Yalitza’s curves perfectly the gown would have to be modified a little by raising and widening the neckline, but I don’t think that would make the gown loose any of its integrity. I would however ditch the sheer ballet top and black bra from the runway because they just don’t make sense. Instead I would pair this gown with a romantic updo, dark rose pink lips, defined eyes, a nude Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste S’ micro-studded clutch, a pair of nude star detail Jimmy Choo ‘Lynn’ crustal embellished strappy sandals, and vintage yellow gold set Harry Winston diamond floral tassel drop earrings to really ensure that Yalitza has an absolutely glamorous moment for her first major awards show red carpet.
The 2019 Golden Globe Awards will take place on Sunday January 6, 2019.
