The awards from today and tomorrow are more number based than opinion based. They are all based on how many times the recipient has shown up in my best dressed files. The Queen of Couture award is based solely on the number of times a star has worn couture on the red carpet this year. It isn’t done by percentages, but done similar to how I do the red carpet diva. This year Rita Ora came close to being the Red Carpet Diva of the Year with 27 looks in my best dressed file, but she did squeak out with the Queen of Couture award since eleven of those looks were off the couture runways. I’ve always thought that Rita would attend the opening of a paper bag, but as long as she did it wearing haute couture I don’t think I would pay any mind to it. From labels whom we always love like Ralph & Russo, Giambattista Valli, and Zuhair Murad to avant garde styles from Alexandre Vauthier, Francesco Scognamiglio, and Iris Van Herpen I have loved what Rita has been bringing to the red carpet this year. She even brought vintage couture in blush pink feathered Theirry Mugler Couture to the red carpet at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards. She always brings the most to the red carpet, and since I live under the guise of #WhenInDoubtBeExtra I think me and Rita would get along just fine.
