While collectively the cast of Black Panther was absolutely AMAZING on the red carpet, I didn’t think that individually any ones overall tour was worthy of the individual Best Promotional Tour award. Honestly going into this year I already knew who would win this title, unless she really disappointed me. I went into 2018 being really excited about A Star Is Born and what Hollywood actress Lady Gaga was going to look like. I was PRAYING for major glamour and drama. In my wishes for her looks I was already thinking of pretty much all black everything, but she brought more than that to the red carpets and press appearances over the course of the promotional tour for the film. With major film festival appearances in Valentino in Venice and Armani Prive in Toronto Gaga kicked off the tour in a major manner. She showed us that actress Gaga is just as dramatic and glamorous as pop star Gaga, but done in a much more refined manner. I have been in love with everything that she has worn. She has been living up to my expectations, and blowing them out of the water. Specifically that pink feathered Valentino Couture gown. When I saw it come down the runway during Paris Couture Fashion Week, on the back of Kaia Gerber, I was never expecting to see that gown on the red carpet. Enter Gaga carpet right and even in the rain she just floated down the red carpet. I also loved that Gaga decided to pay homage to Barbara Streisand in one of her looks with the silver lace Givenchy Couture cape and gown, which was inpsired by one of the costumes in Streisand’s iteration of A Star Is Born. Gaga also didn’t skimp on the looks for talk show apperances not once wearing something “casual” instead opting for gowns from Iris Van Herpen Couture, Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, and Carolina Herrera. She just got nominated this morning for a Golden Globe Award, so here we go right on into awards season!
