2018 London Film Festival: “Beautiful Boy” Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

The London Film Festival is getting closer and closer and I am very excited to see what they all the stars who have films screening at the festival are going to bring to the red carpet. Beautiful Boy is gaining traction for the Oscars and I have to say that I am very interested to see what the Headline Gala premiere of the film will bring. We have already seen it screened at both the Toronto and San Sebastian film festivals to much lauding and acclaim. Will the carpet be as bold of a style statement as it has been?Timothee Chalamet has been killing the menswear fashion game with this promo tour rocking bold options from Haider Ackermann and Alexander McQueen (pictured above left) on the red carpet. I am really excited about his style, and to be honest he could make up almost all of my Best Dressed Men of the Year. He has been on Best Dressed lists that rarely feature menswear and could very easily make the Best Dressed of the Year lists as well. I was watching the livestream of the Louis Vuitton Spring 2019 RTW show on Tuesday and I was really surprised by the fact that there were men on the runway at the show. Nicolas Ghesquière doesn’t do menswear for Louis Vuitton, but I loved that he decided to be a little more gender fluid after seeing lots of ladies including Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and Kim Kardashian wearing Virgil Abloh’s debut collection as creative director for Louis Vuitton menswear. As soon as I saw this Louis Vuitton Spring 2019 RTW ensemble which features a cream tuxedo blazer with a wide lapel and big pockets paired with a matching knit turtleneck, and black tapered pants I wanted to see Timothee rock it on the red carpet and I know that if he did it would be a perfect moment for him to bring to life for the London Film Festival premiere of Beautiful Boy. His beautiful luscious locks and a pair of black Louis Vuitton ‘Voltaire’ derbies all would really make sure that this is just another major menswear moment from Timmy. Amy Ryan was the epitome of classic elegance at the premiere of Beautiful Boy at the Toronto International Film Festival wearing a black and white Rasario polka dotted midi dress. I didn’t put her on my TIFF wishes because I wasn’t sure in what direction she was heading, but after that I wanted to do something chic and elegant in bold color for her to rock for the films premiere at the London Film Festival. I saw this emerald green Self-Portrait Spring 2019 RTW long sleeve gown which features a v-neckline and a flowing pleated skirt and I thought about how chic it would look on Amy and boom here we are. The gown isn’t anything boundary pushing, but I think that the simple and chic nature of this gown is perfect for her to bring to life on this red carpet. Chic waves, defined eyes, red lips, a gold glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ clutch, simple gold set diamond drop earrings, and a pair of gold Jimmy Choo ‘Sacora’ sandals all would really ensure that this look is chic and glamorous from head to toe. Rounding out this list is Kaitlyn Dever, whom skipped this premiere at TIFF and I am hoping makes the jaunt to London to help promote the film. I wanted to do something really bold and chic for Kaitlyn to wear on this red carpet so this red Carolina Herrera Spring 2019 RTW gown which features a pleated crisscross halter bodice, a keyhole cutout, rodeo inspired embroidery, an a-line skirt, tulle overlay, and a pleated underskirt was the perfect idea for her to bring to life on the red carpet. It is bold, youthful, flirty, and glamorous moment and I definitely think that it would be a really major moment for Kaitlyn to deliver on this red carpet especially when paired with a romantic updo, defined eyes, matching lips, and a pair of red Jimmy Choo ‘Misty’ sandals.

The 2018 London Film Festival will open on Wednesday October 10, 2018 and will run through Sunday October 21, 2018.
