I am just rolling with the wishes today, and for the next several days. There are so many major moments that could happen on the red carpet over the course of the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and I am really excited to see what everyone will bring to the red carpets this year. I was expecting to see Armie Hammer at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival to premiere his film On The Basis Of Sex with Felicity Jones, but the film was not submitted. Instead we will see this hottie take to a red carpet at the festival to promote his film Hotel Mumbai. I am always excited to see Armie on the red carpet and I am sure that he and Ilaria Urbinati are cooking up something really chic and glamorous. For this premiere I wanted to go for a statement jacket, but also very chic, so I think that Armie would definitely rock the red carpet wearing this black Brioni Fall 2018 Menswear floral brocade tuxedo jacket which features a shawl collar. I would style it very differently from the lookbook for Armie swapping the pants for a pair of fitted black tuxedo pants, white tuxedo shirt, black bow tie, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Greggo’ patent leather oxfords. I think that would make a very chic menswear moment for Armie. We always can expect to see Armie’s wife by his side when he promotes a film and I can say that after talking to her stylist about the look she will wear in Toronto for the premiere of Hotel Mumbai and she said it would be a total runway look from a top designer that is sadly not couture. I definitely think that Elizabeth is on her way to being my Best Plus One this year and I want to see her deliver a very glamorous moment. This black Oscar de la Renta Resort 2019 one shoulder gown which features silver sequin polka dots throughout, a fitted bodice, defined waist, elegant draping, and a thigh-high slit would compliment that Brioni tuxedo that I picked for Armie perfectly. I always think that the best couples compliment each other, but don’t explicitly match. I definitely think that this Oscar de la Renta gown when paired with old Hollywood waves, defined eyes, red lips, a black Judith Leiber Couture slide lock crystal clutch, a pair of black Rene Caovilla strappy sandals, and Anita Ko ‘Ava’ white gold and diamond art deco wreath earrings would all ensure this look is perfectly glamorous from head to toe. It has been a hot minute since we have had a really major moment from Olivia Wilde on the red carpet and I am praying for something really statement making from her when she steps out at TIFF to premiere Life Itself. I decided to go left of a gown or cocktail dress for Olivia for this red carpet deciding to pick a jumpsuit for her to own on this red carpet. I think that this raspberry pink, aqua, and royal purple silk double satin jumpsuit which features a draped plunging neckline and open trousers, embellished with jeweled buttons finished with a crystal brooch is a real statement moment and I definitely think that Olivia would be able to own it on this red carpet. I would style the jumpsuit with a wavy bob, smokey eyes, rose pink lips, a raspberry WE11DONE ribbed pleated clutch, and a pair of raspberry Aquazzura ‘Forever Marilyn’ d’orsay peep toe pumps to really make this 80’s moment fresh and glamorous for the TIFF red carpet. Surprisingly the Franca Sozzani Award ceremony during the Venice Film Festival was a real low key affair this year so Salma Hayek’s custom Gucci gown was lost to the archives of the internet. I hope that isn’t the case when she steps out on the red carpet at the TIFF premiere of The Hummingbird Project. I went for a simpler style than we are used to seeing from Salma and Gucci with taking mauve sequins from Gucci and turned it into this long sleeve column gown which features a plunging neckline and a defined waist and I definitely think that it would be a very glamorous moment for Salma to bring to this red carpet. I would want to see Salma rock the red carpet with custom accessories made to match including a satin box clutch and strappy sandals. Finish the whole look with old Hollywood waves, smokey eyes, and burgundy lips to really make this a very glamorous moment on the red carpet. Rounding out today is one of my favorite red carpet ladies Sofia Boutella who is expected in Toronto this year to promote her latest film Climax. She was one of my favorites earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival wearing a Vera Wang tulle ball gown, for Toronto though I went with a much edgier option for her to bring to life on this red carpet. I love this black Fendi Fall 2018 Couture cocktail dress which features short sleeves, sequin detailing, a faux fur detail skirt, and a gold sequin hem and I definite think that Sofia is the perfect person to really make it come to life on the red carpet. I think her statuesque presence and the edgy glam vibe that she gives off would really pair well to make this a really glam red carpet moment. Pair it with a sleek low bun, smokey eyes, burgundy lips, black Gianvito Rossi ‘Lane’ suede ribbon wrap pumps, and a pair of square faceted onyx stud earrings by Bulgari to let the dress be the focus of this look.
