Today we continue on my wishes for film premieres with dates that are still to be confirmed. There are quite a few films which are expected to be released in the coming weeks that I just have not been able to confirm the exact dates yet. One of those films is the Sci-Fi thriller The Darkest Minds which has a stellar cast and is expected to be released in theaters on August 3, 2018. Sci-Fi films like this tend to have much more casual premieres, but the cast of this film has some great potential major moments. That is exactly what I went for with the looks that I’ve picked for them to rock on this red carpet, when it happens.Amandla Stenberg has been a rising star ever since she stared as Rue in The Hunger Games. Since then she has rocked many a red carpet wearing looks from Rosie Assoulin, Christian Dior, Chanel, and Calvin Klein in the past. Those are some really coveted brands to have dressed her, and I feel like as her star rises that she will deliver even more amazing moments. She gives this edgy yet bohemian and glamorous vibe when she steps onto the red carpet and I feel like the premiere of The Darkest Minds will be a red carpet where we will really get to see Amandla give us a really chic moment on the red carpet. I feel like she is one of the few who could take this Calvin Klein Resort 2019 gown which features an orange, white, and blue tie-dye tank top bodice and a burgundy and white polka dot tulip shaped floor length skirt and wear it with effortless ease. On paper this gown shouldn’t work, but it does. But I will say that it will need the right person to really make it come to life on the red carpet and I do think that Amandla would be able to hold her own and deliver the right level of presence to really make this look work. Style this gown with a full afro, defined eyes, orange lips, a blush Calvin Klein crystal strap python envelope clutch, a pair of black Calvin Klein ‘Vinna’ satin & suede strappy sandals, and a Yeprem diamond constellation ear cuff to really ensure this is a major fashON moment for Amandla. Gwendoline Christie also stars in this film and I hope we get to see her out promoting it. She has a sense of style that intrigues me because she is this 6′ 3″ glamizon that isn’t afraid to take risks. She has rocked moments from Gucci, Iris Van Herpen, Vivienne Westwood, Fendi, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Giles and just walked the Miu Miu Resort 2019 runway. She was also one of the many celebrity faces whom were seated front row at Kim Jone’s debut as the creative director of Dior Homme (now Dior Man.) I decided that I would make this wish for Gwendoline to give us a women in menswear moment wearing this light pink asymmetrical suit from the Dior Homme Spring 2019 Menswear collection. I can see Gwendoline bringing this look to the red carpet with effortless ease, especially when paired with a finger wave hairstyle, simple makeup, and a pair of light pink Aquazzura crystal embellished sling black kitten heels. Rounding out this list is Mandy Moore, who just finished off a Paris Couture Fashion Week tour that saw her perched front row at many of the major fashion shows. I love me a great Mandy more moment. She has come such a long way with her style. When she wore princess-y Monique Lhuillier gowns from beginning to end of the awards season run for Tangled to her looks from brands like Rosie Assoulin, Valentino, Carolina Herrera, and Ralph Lauren within the last year she has grown leaps and bounds. I never expected Mandy to be a major player in the world of fashion, but she has. Would she bring couture to anything other than an awards season? I hope she will. For this red carpet I would love to see Mandy give us flirty glamour on the red carpet wearing this off white Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 Couture tulle cocktail dress which features a strapless sweetheart neckline, defined hips, knee length skirt and is embellished with interlocking white velvet and tulle ribbons in a geometric design and ostrich feathers. This is a very glamorous dress and it may be too much for a red carpet like this, but I think that Mandy would definitely sell it to me on the red carpet. Add old Hollywood waves, defined eyes, red lips, a white velvet Tyler Ellis ‘Lily’ clutch, white Paris Texas crystal heart buckle ankle strap sandals, and a pair of very beautiful diamond ear pendants from Beladora to ensure that this look is glamour from head to toe.
