2018 San Diego Comic-Con Red Carpet Wish List Part 6

Well today, just eleven days before it kicks off, is my final set of wishes for San Diego Comic-Con 2018. The event brings together some of the biggest names in Sci-Fi to talk about upcoming projects and celebrate fan favorites. The stars are starting to align and announcements of who will present panels is getting me more and more excited for this years event. A Comic-Con look has never made my Best Dressed of the Year list, but I never say never. Sometimes the perfect casual look just has to be put together in the right way to make the list. So I hope that someone gives me a really chic moment while promoting a project at Comic-Con this year! Who could it be? One of the ladies I’ve already talked about? Or maybe one of the ladies that feature on today’s wishes? I really do think that if they showed up wearing a look I picked for them that this could become a real possibility. Dove Cameron is expected to take to the stage at Comic-Con 2018 to promote her role as Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen in the animated series Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. It was last year during the promo tour for Descendants 2 that I really started to notice Dove’s style and was majorly impressed. She gave glamour that I was not expecting from her and did so in a way that made her a real contender for Best Dressed of the Year. For her appearance at Comic-Con this year I would love to see Dove wearing this black, marigold, blue, and white floral printed Alice McCall Fall 2018 RTW dress which features a blouson sleeve a-line mini silhouette with v neckline & tie sleeves. This is a chic youthful statement for to bring to this event. It has that flirty and youthful vibe that I think is perfect for her to bring to the red carpet. Comic-Con is the perfect place to play with youthful prints and flirty silhouettes and that is exactly what is happening here with this dress. Pair it with loose waves, simple makeup, and a pair of orange Manning Cartel ‘Snap Snot’ strappy sandal boots and Dove will definitely own the flirty nature of this look. Danai Gurira is no stranger to Comic-Con. She is always there to do a panel for The Walking Dead and last year she also was there to start teasing Black Panther. She always has very chic moments when it comes to her looks for Comic-Con and this year I went to a style a little different than we usually see Danai go for during the convention. Typically we see Danai opt for chic shift dresses for Comic-Con, but I think that this year that this Tanya Taylor Fall 2018 RTW ensemble which features a red plaid off the shoulder peasant blouse and a black and white floral print asymmetric draped midi skirt paired with a cognac brown leather belt would be the perfect option for Danai to bring to this event. It is the perfect balance of chic and casual and I really do think that Danai would carry this look off with effortless ease especially if she paired it with her signature shaved head, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of black and gold Fendi cross strap sandals.Back in 2015 Jessica Chastain surprised me by showing up to Comic-Con to promote Crimson Peak. She is expected back this year to promote It: Chapter Two and maybe X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Picking the right dress for Jessica to wear for Comic-Con was difficult because I associate her style more with Cannes than Comic-Con. I went for a bit of a ‘risk’ or a very high end choice at least for Jessica to wear for Comic-Con picking this pink, white, black, orange, and blue Givenchy Resort 2019 floral print midi dress which features a crew neckline, diagonal white stripe, and long sleeves. It isn’t often we see brands like Givenchy on the red carpet during Comic-Con, especially not the newest collections, but I think that if anyone could make it happen that it would be Jessica. Add loose waves, defined eyes, light pink lips, and a pair of white Gianvito Rossi transparent strap sandals to ensure that this look is Comic-Con ready. I have to say Olivia Holt really does try, but often times it just doesn’t work. I want to see her bring something really chic to the red carpet when she steps out to promote her new show Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger during Comic-Con. I feel like this chic blue floral Michael Kors Fall 2018 RTW ruffled peasant dress would be perfect for Olivia. It would be a little more than we are used to seeing at Comic-Con, but I think it would be something that Olivia’s youthful and flirty energy would make perfect for a Comic-Con red carpet. Since the dress is already extra enough I would just pair this dress with a pair of navy glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Lang’ sandals, easy waves, defined eyes, and nude lips to really make it a perfect moment for her to bring to this red carpet. Last but not least is the always gorgeous Zendaya. For her first Comic-Con Zendaya gave us classy lady glamour wearing a very mature Kenzo dress. This year she is expected to promote Spider-Man: Far From Home which has been filming recently. Regular readers know I love a great Zendaya moment and I do feel like she is one of those stars who could really deliver a major fashion moment during Comic-Con. That is why I went for this very chic and flirty Roberto Cavalli Resort 2019 ensemble which features a periwinkle blue lace blouse with a plunging neck and ruffle details on the collar and cuffs and a multi tone snakeskin print leather a-line skater style miniskirt. I really do think that this is the perfect youthful meets dramatic moment for Zendaya to bring to this event. I think that with a pair of nude Sophia Webster ‘Evangeline’ iridescent crystal embellished butterfly sandals, luxurious silky waves over one shoulder, simple winged eyeliner, and soft pink lips all would add the perfect finishing touches to this look.

The 2018 San Diego Comic-Con will take place from July 19 to 22, 2018.
