We are getting closer and closer to San Diego Comic-Con 2018. I am excited for this years edition. We can see some great casual moments come from the panels and parties at Comic-Con. The vibe continues to be chic while being one of the more laid back events of the year. We can see everything from the hottest runway looks to stars showing up in jeans and a t-shirt. That is what makes Comic-Con style so great. I don’t know if Beyonce will grace Comic-Con with her presence, but I would love for her to do just that. The event takes place during a break in her On The Run 2 tour schedule so anything is possible right? I put Bey on this list for Comic-Con based on the fact that she is voicing Nala in the live-action remake of The Lion King, which is set to be released next year. Sometimes Disney has a panel at Comic-Con and sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t know as of yet if The Lion King will be promoted at Comic-Con this year, but if it is I want Beyonce to slay us all with casual glamour. Many would take this black silk Tom Ford corseted waist midi dress and see a cocktail ensemble, but not Beyonce. She would wear this to go pick up Blue Ivy from school. I really do think that with the right styling including full bouncy voluminous curls, defined eyes, glossy nude lips, a pair of black and white Christian Louboutin ‘Twistissima 100’ fishnet pumps, and black Sachin + Babi ostrich feather earrings that this would be a perfect Comic-Con moment for Bey. Gal Gadot is currently filming Wonder Woman 1984 which is slated to debut in November of next year. With the release of the film being so far away and the fact that they are actively filming the next installment I don’t know if she will be seen at Comic-Con this year, but any excuse to give a good Gal Gadot wish is good in my books. I make this wish for Gal to wear this cream and khaki Louis Vuitton Cruise 2019 safari inspired shorts and cutout top ensemble with great trepidation. She has not yet fallen into a campaign contract curse. I don’t want to see her style fall victim to the clutches of Louis Vuitton. Many stars wear the brand once and then it never ends. I love that Gal has a sense of style and a point of view and changes up her style often. This Louis Vuitton look is definitely something that I can see her rocking, I just don’t want her to become the next Louis Vuitton ambassador. This chic look would be perfectly styled for Comic-Con with a sleek bob, defined eyes, rose pink lips, and a pair of green snakeskin Louis Vuitton ‘Rendez Vouz’ pumps. Kristen Wiig is playing the super villain to Gal’s super hero in Wonder Woman 1984 so again I wonder if she will be on hand at Comic-Con as well. For her first Comic-Con appearance I went really chic with the ensemble for Kristen picking this black and white look from the Marissa Webb Resort 2019 collection. The look, which consists of a black and white eyelet lace long sleeve button down blouse and a pair of black high waisted sailor pants, is incredibly chic and exactly what I feel like Kristen would be drawn to. It might be a little ‘boardroom’ for most to wear for Comic-Con, but I really do think that it works for someone like Kristen especially if she paired it with her signature pixie, defined eyes, nude lips, and a pair of killer black and white Sophia Webster ‘Andie’ crystal and pearl embellished mules. Sasha Lane, who burst onto the scene in 2016 with American Honey, is slated to release Hellboy in January of next year. So I feel like with that timeline that we will most likely see the film promoted at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Sasha has a very unique sense of style. She marches to the beat of her own drum for sure. I honestly expect to see her show up in a vintage graphic t-shirt and jeans, but I am wishing for something a little more elevated. I think that this charcoal grey suede Coach 1941 Resort 2019 ensemble which features a shift dress and matching cropped jacket is perfect for Sasha to wear for an event like Comic-Con. It is easy and edgy while being casual enough to match the laid back vibe of the event. Her signature dreads pulled up, simple makeup, and a pair of black Coach ‘Signature Link’ strappy lace-up sandals all would add the perfect finishing touches to this look.
The 2018 San Diego Comic-Con will take place from July 19 to 22, 2018.
