Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex to wear the Resort 2019 Collections

Well I was pleasantly surprised when Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex stepped out of her antique limousine and descended into St. Georges Chapel at Windsor Castle wearing custom Givenchy Couture by Clare Waight Keller on her wedding day. It was never a brand that I had optioned for Meghan to wear and it did her well. With that being said I have found fit issues with just about every single look that Meghan has worn since her engagement was announced. Since the wedding she has worn designers like Goat, Givenchy, Carolina Herrera, and Prada. There hasn’t been a single one which was flawless. I really would love to see Meghan swap her stylists and call up the royal tailor to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and really start to wear absolutely perfect looks because I know she has the potential. I really wanted Meghan to wear an American designer for her wedding, and the designer I really wanted her to wear was Carolina Herrera. She has worn a pink skirt suit from Carolina Herrera for the Trooping the Color and I hope that it was just the first of many moments from the label. I would love to see Meghan wearing this white Carolina Herrera Resort 2018 dress which features a straight silhouette with a multi tier design and daisy floral mosaic embroidery. It is a chic and flirty dress, but still something I can see passing royal dressing protocol. It would have to be paired with the requisite sheer stockings and I think adding a sleek romantic updo, defined eyes, light pink lips, yellow velvet Tyler Ellis ‘Perry’ clutch, white Rupert Sanderson pebbled leather pointed toe pumps, and a white Philip Treacy London sculpted net hat would make this a perfect moment for any type of royal event, maybe a garden party?Galvan is a British based designer that we don’t see Catherine wear. The brand is sexy and much more Hollywood than Buckingham Palace, but I think that Megan would give a bold color moment wearing this hot pick Galvan Resort 2019 ensemble which features a ruched tank top and a square neckline and high waisted wide leg pants. The look is something totally different than we are used to seeing from one of the royals, but I think that it would be a great look for Meghan who seems to push the boundaries. I would ask Galvan to create a custom blazer to match this ensemble. Styling this look with perfectly placed waves, defined eyes, nude lips, hot pink Alexander McQueen skull clasp flap clutch, and a pair of nude Sergio Rossi asymmetrical strappy sling back pumps would make this a bold yet chic moment.

Meghan attended the wedding of her new cousin-in-law last month wearing a hot off the runway Oscar de la Renta dress. I wanted to love it, but there were all kinds of fit issues on that dress. When she wore that dress I hadn’t exactly decided I was going to do this list, but I knew that there were looks from the collection that I wanted to see her wearing. I would love to see Meghan take this sand and black polka dotted Oscar de la Renta Resort 2019 trench dress which features a notch collar, A line silhouette, and a wide belted waistline and give it a moment. I would want to see Meghan wear a perfectly tailored to her version of this dress since Amal Clooney has already snatched a sample of this dress for her wardrobe. I think that with a sleek low bun, simple makeup, a black Fendi Black Kan I’ double sided mini bag which features a top handle, a chain and leather strap, gold embroidery, and faux-pearl embellishments, a pair of black Aquazzura strappy cage pumps, and a Jane Taylor ‘Cyprus’ camel wool hat that features silk rose and felt knots that Meghan would have a very chic style moment on her hands.

Aside from her Givenchy and Stella McCartney wedding gowns we haven’t seen Meghan don a gown for a royal function yet. For her first I would love to see her give us regal glamour wearing this royal blue Pamella Roland Resort 2019 double cape georgette gown which features a sheath silhouette, luxurious cape and hand cut organza flowers, crystals and ostrich feathers. I adore this gown and I hope someone brings it to life out side of the look book and tasking Meghan with it is kind of a stretch, but I think if the fit was done perfectly and the styling was done even better that she would have a major moment on her hands. I would style this gown with a sleek updo, defined eyes, soft pink lips, blue satin Gianvito Rossi pointed toe pumps, and a pair of Princess Diana’s diamond and sapphire cluster earrings to ensure head to toe perfection.

Meghan is a self proclaimed feminist so I wonder while skirt suits and coat dresses are the norm for a royal if she will make the pantsuit her thing. If she does one suit I think would be chic for her to bring to life on her royal duties would be this white Prabal Gurung Resort 2019 suit which features a classic bell sleeve blazer and boot leg cropped pants. The look is very classic with the drama being brought by those slashed bell sleeves. I know that keeping the rest of the look very classic would really ensure that this is a very chic moment. So I would pair this suit with a white Derek Lam ‘Kara’ sleeveless blouse, a white Tyler Ellis ‘Aimee’ large handle clutch, loose waves, defined eyes, nude lips, and a pair of simple white Aquazzura ‘Simply Irresistible’ pointed toe stiletto pumps.

The final look I would like to see Meghan wear is perfect for one of her more casual appearances. Not everything that she will attend will be suit up or hat occasions and I think that this Victoria Beckham Resort 2019 ensemble would be really perfect for one of those casual events. This is exactly what I think should be casual for a royal. The khaki safari shirt with a navy collar and cuffs and a pair of grey wool high waisted pants paired with a think red belt is so effortlessly chic and I really do think that it would be perfect on Meghan especially if she paired it with a red Alexander McQueen ‘Wicca’ top handle satchel bag and pair of black Paul Andrew ‘Zenadia’ pumps.

Which do you think would be the best moment for the Duchess of Sussex?
