The Handmaid’s Tale will have the red carpet premiere of its much anticipated second season next Thursday April 19, 2018 a little less than a week before the whole new season drops on Hulu. The show owned the Golden Globe Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and the Emmy Awards and the second season is slated to continue that legacy. The story that the show portrays doesn’t seem that far fetched in the world we live in right now. I think that it is a surrealist escape, but keeps ideas of what the world can become at the back of the mind. Alexis Bledel was considered a guest star last season and it has been announced that she has been promoted to series regular for the second season of the show. I adore Alexis and she knows how to deliver really chic moments on the red carpet. She isn’t one that I look to for a real FASHUN moment, but she does chic glamour really well. For next weeks red carpet premiere I went with this really simple red and navy polka dot print Milly Pre-Fall 2018 slip dress which features an obi bow belted waist would make this a really chic moment for her to have on this red carpet. The dress is far from groundbreaking. It is just really feminine and elegant and I think that with a loose updo, simple defined eyes, soft rose lips, a navy Judith Leiber coffered crocodile minaudiere, and a pair of navy glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Lang’ leather strappy sandals that Alexis would definitely own the look on the red carpet. I can honestly say that before Amanda Brugel stepped onto the red carpet at the 2017 Emmy Awards wearing Stephane Rolland Couture (styled by one of my favorite stylists Victor Blanco.) From then on she has shut carpets down in more Stephane Rolland, Simone Rocha, Alberta Ferretti, and vintage Chanel so I am really excited to see what she will wear for the shows premiere next year. Since Victor loves couture Amanda is the only star who I picked to wear a look off the Spring 2018 Couture ensembles. I think that Amanda would own the red carpet wearing this deep wine colored velvet Azzaro Spring 2018 Couture embellished jumpsuit which reminds me a lot of the classic Hugh Hefner Playboy smoking jacket inspiration. This borrowed from the boys look is anything but boxy menswear that is the norm now. I feel like this sexy and strong moment is perfect for Amanda. I would add a black satin Yliana Yepez ‘Grace Plus’ clutch, sleek hair with her blunt bangs, a black glittery smokey eye, matching wine colored lips, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Douce du Desert’ ribbon tied ankle wrap pumps to really make this a really major moment on the red carpet this premiere. When it comes to her red carpet style I usually either love or loathe what Elisabeth Moss brings to the red carpet. As one of the creators and the star of The Handmaid’s Tale and I am praying to the fashion gods that when Lizzy steps onto the red carpet at the shows second season premiere that she does so in high style. I think that this red Sies Marjan Fall 2018 RTW draped midi dress constructed in an iridescent fabric that picks up the lighting of the room that surrounds it would be a really chic moment. I think that the silhouette would flatter Elisabeth’s curves, and with the right styling I think that it would be head to toe perfection. Add a red Tyler Ellis ‘Lily’ marbled faceted clutch, red Gianvito Rossi ‘Plexi’ satin sandals, a sleek updo, simple defined eye, and red lips would all ensure that this look is absolute perfection.Madeline Brewer has been a rising style star this year rocking looks from DVF, Reem Acra, Giorgio Armani, Georges Chakra Couture, and Elizabeth Kennedy while promoting and supporting The Handmaid’s Tale over the course of awards season this year. She has also been promoted to series regular this year and I am really excited to continue to see Madeline’s style star rise. For next weeks premiere red carpet I would love to see Madeline give dramatic and flirty drama on the red carpet wearing this silver and gunmetal Pamella Roland Fall 2018 RTW sequin embroidered cocktail dress which features a round neckline, fitted bodice, and ostrich feather trim. This is definitely a fun moment and I think that if anyone could make it a really chic moment on the red carpet I think that Madeline would make it a really chic look. Add a romantic updo, defined eyes, rose pink lips, and a pair of silver Christian Louboutin ‘Degrastrass Vinyl’ crystal embellished pumps to really ensure that this is yet another really dramatic and glam moment for Madeline. Rounding out this set of wishes is the beautiful Samira Wiley. I know that she has the potential to be a really major style star. Since she is now going to be one of the main stars of one of the biggest shows out there right now I think that we might see more brands start to dress her. I decided to branch out her repertoire of designers for the season two premiere of The Handmaid’s Tale picking this sun yellow Carolina Herrera Fall 2018 RTW silk midi dress which features a square neckline, fitted bodice, and asymmetric draping. I think that this statement making dress is all about the color and the draping instead of being made a dramatic piece by embellishments. It is a really simple and elegant moment and I definitely think that the color would really be brought to life against Samira’s skin tone and I think that with a smokey eye, nude lips, and a pair of yellow Dolce & Gabbana ‘Keira’ sandals in satin with hand-embroidered butterflies in organza would all make it a statement moment for Samira.
