2018 Tribeca Film Festival Red Carpet Wish List Part 3

I have talked about how interested I am in seeing what the stars of the films that have been selected for the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. There are so many stars who I tend to love seeing on the red carpet who have films that are screening this year and I am praying that all of them will jet off to NYC to attend those premieres. Today I have wishes for three films, unlike yesterday which saw my wish lists dominated by large casts these are much smaller premieres. Anna Camp knows how to deliver a really chic moment on the red carpet. She knows how to work feminine elegance on the red carpet and I am praying that for the festivals premiere of Egg that we will see Anna deliver another really chic moment on the red carpet. I think that this misty green vintage garden printed Monique Lhuillier Fall 2018 RTW mikado sleeveless dress which features a crew neckline with a fitted waistline, a-line skirt, and a midi hem  would be right up Anna’s ally. It is a late 50’s early 60’s inspired dress and I think that done the right way that it would be a really chic modern moment for her to rock on the Tribeca Film Festival red carpet. Add a romantic updo, defined eye, punchy pink lips, a ballet pink glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ clutch, and a pair of silver grey Monique Lhuillier sequin embroidered sandals to really ensure that the feminine glamour of this look is punctuated perfectly. Christina Hendricks knows how to deliver glamour on the red carpet, but often times she really disappoints me. I am praying that when she steps out with Anna to promote Egg at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival that she does so in high style. Black is Christina’s favored color on the red carpet and I decided to keep that going with this premiere. I saw this black Oscar de la Renta Fall 2018 RTW velvet cocktail dress which features a tulle layered cape with gold sequin embroidery and Christina was the first person to come to mind. I think that the fitted sheath dress would hug her curves, the v-neck would showcase her decollete beautifully and the cape would add the drama that I often times lack from her style. Keeping the look very glamorous with a romantic updo, defined eyes, red lips, a black & gold Oscar de la Renta ‘Goa’ floral embroidered satin clutch, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Follies Lace’ pumps would be exactly how I would ensure that this is yet another major moment for her to rock on this red carpet.  I love seeing Dree Hemingway on the red carpet so when I saw her film In a Relationship was selected as part of this years Tribeca Film Festival I got really excited. I am pretty sure that this is the only gown I picked for the Tribeca carpets this year, but I definitely think that Dree would infuse some real bohemian elegance into this floral Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2018 RTW ruffle sleeve maxi wrap dress which features a surplice neckline, fitted torso with flared ruffle-layered skirt, and allover exotic-floral print making it totally appropriate for a Tribeca Film Festival premiere. Dree has this edgy, bohemian approach to her style and I think that she is one of the few who could really sell this look to me. Since it is such a statement dress for a Tribeca red carpet I would keep the styling simple with a sleek center parted low bun, barely there makeup, and a pair of dark gold Charlotte Olympia ‘Discovery’ platform mule sandals with a block heel. I am also a big fan of Emma Roberts style so I am really excited to see her standing next to Dree Hemingway on the red carpet at the premiere of In a Relationship. Emma’s style is almost in stark contrast to Dree’s. Emma’s style is more flirty and feminine than the edgy and bohemian style we see from Dree. I would love to see Emma wearing this really vibrant yellow one shoulder No. 21 Fall 2018 RTW cocktail dress which features a mini skirt layered under a sheer knee length skirt. It is a bright ray of sunshine and I think that Emma could really make it work on the red carpet. I do wonder if she will wear yellow on the red carpet after having a pale yellow moment on the red carpet at the 2018 Vanity Fair Party red carpet. I definitely think that it would make for a really chic moment for this red carpet. Add a pair of statement but nude Paula Cademartori ‘Lotus’ sandals, loose waves, defined eyes, and rose pink lips to make this a really beautiful moment on the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival. Rounding out today is Katherine Waterston who will be promoting her latest film State Like Sleep. I know that she has the potential to wow me on the red carpet, but I think that she often doesn’t put in enough effort. She often falls just short of what I am really expecting from her. I saw this white Emilia Wickstead Fall 2018 RTW tea length gown which features cap sleeves, beaded embellishments, a column silhouette, and mint colored breasts come down the London Fashion Week runway back in February and Katherine was the first person to come to mind. I didn’t know that she had a project release upcoming and when I saw that she had a film screening at Tribeca I thought that this was the perfect look for her to rock on the red carpet. A sleek hairstyle, simple makeup including rose pink lips, and a pair of nude satin Francesco Russo wrap ankle sandals all would ensure that Katherine really delivers a beautiful moment on this red carpet.

The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival will open Wednesday April 18, 2018 and run through Sunday April 29, 2018.
