“The New Mutants” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

There are A LOT of really great movie promo tours that I am looking forward to seeing rocked on the red carpets over the next month or so. So many big blockbusters. Stars and casts already have some real competition for the End of the Year Style Awards titles of Best Promo Tour and Best Ensemble Cast. So they better bring it. I am really excited to see what the cast of The New Mutants will bring to their promo tours since they are joining a storied franchise and are all rising style stars. Anya Taylor-Joy has already become a fashion darling catching the eyes of Miu Miu, Gucci, Elie Saab, and most recently Dolce & Gabbana. The young actress has worn some really standard Dolce & Gabbana looks for events like the BAFTA Awards, London Film Festival, and the Women in Film celebration and I want to see her really dazzle in the brand for the LA premiere of The New Mutants, which has a date still to be announced. Dolce has been showing two shows during the Milan Fashion Week circuit, the main show and then a “secret show.” I have been a big fan of the looks that Domenico and Stefano have sent down the runway for their “secret show” more than what they show for their actual ready to wear show. I think that Anya would deliver glamour on the red carpet at this premiere wearing this gunmetal crystal embellished and black chiffon Dolce & Gabbana Secret Show Fall 2018 sleeveless gown which features a crystal embellished belted waist and a car wash pleated skirt. I feel like it just screams classic glamour and I think that if anyone could really sell this look to me that Anya would shut it down. I would strip the runway look back by removing the tiara, earrings, and sheer crystal embellished opera gloves that take the look more into film nior costume than red carpet ensemble. I would keep the styling glamorous, yet simple, adding a vintage inspired updo, thick winged eyeliner, red lips, and a pair of black Dolce & Gabbana crystal embellished strappy sandals to really turn this look into a head to toe dazzling moment. Charlie Heaton is one that I feel like has potential to be a real menswear style star, but often times I feel like he comes across as looking sloppy and thrown together. I want him to really deliver some moments on the red carpet at the LA premiere of The New Mutants. For a blockbuster premiere like this I think that the guys can go a little more casual than tuxedo glam on the red carpet, and I think that is exactly what Charlie will go for. I think he would be a good fit with Prada and I think that this ink blue Prada suit ensemble paired with a salmon pink and ink blue plaid button up and a pair of white and grey dad shoes (the hottest trend in footwear right now) would definitely be a real statement making moment for Charlie. Compared to the Dolce gown that I picked for Anya this is really the opposite end of the spectrum, but each look fits the wearers typical aesthetic. Former Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has definitely been one who has taken the British fashion world by storm. She may not be the face of Dolce & Gabbana or Louis Vuitton like some of her former costars but she still knows how to really deliver a fun and quirky, yet glam moment on the red carpet. For the LA premiere of The New Mutants I went to a brand that has really embraced Maisie recently, Coach 1941. I really cannot believe how much I am loving Coach on the red carpet as of late. They have been delivering great looks on the red carpet from both the runway and custom designed. I think that Maisie would definitely rock this black and brown Coach 1941 Pre-Fall 2018 floral printed chiffon cap sleeve midi dress which features chic beaded embroidery and fringe. It gives a chic take on the American west and prairie and I definitely think that with the right styling that it would be ready for a major blockbuster movie premiere. I would add a sleek center parted low bun, defined eyes, rose pink lips, a black and brass Coach clutch with 3D snakeskin small tea rose embellishments, and a pair of black Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Penelope Pearl’ cross-strap sandals to really make sure that this look is perfectly styled from head to toe.
