2018 Oscar Parties Red Carpet Wish List Part 17

My final day of Oscar parties wishes kick off early today because instead of the two that I have had every other days of my wishes I am going out with a bang with 3 final sets of wishes. I was only going to do 18 posts, but then I saw a press release about who was co-hosting the Elton John party so I added more names I wasn’t already expecting. I am really excited to see what all the stars are going to bring to the red carpets of Oscar night and these final party wishes are really just fun, glamorous looks on stars who I want to see party the night away next Sunday. Eiza Gonzalez is a young face on the red carpet. She started to make appearances as she promoted Baby Driver with Ansel Elgort last year and made several appearances at parties surrounding the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year. I am really hoping to see her on Oscar night since she knows how to give good glamour and I think that giving goddess vibes in this draped mint Georges Hobeika Spring 2018 Couture one shoulder gown which features beaded embellishments, a sexy hip high slit, and a dramatic train would ensure that she can hang with some of the biggest style stars that will be out on Oscar night. I think that Eiza would definitely take this gown and deliver an uber sexy moment, but I don’t see her pulling a full Angelina with the split. She could wear a completely covered long sleeve gown and still ooze sex appeal, so I think that when it comes to the split she would have it sewn up a little bit or just let it fall and not really work it to its full potential like some might. I feel like a pair of gold Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Ellie’ crystal detail sandals, romantic updo, bronze kohl rimmed eyes, a punchy pink lip, and a pair of Hearts on Fire ‘Aerial Eclipse’ 18k gold and diamond hoop earrings all would really ensure this is a really glamorous moment. Jessica Biel knows how to deliver really chic moments on the red carpet and I am hoping that she (and a less mountain man lumbersexual Justin Timberlake) will be on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar party next Sunday. In the past Jessica has delivered really gorgeous moments in Ralph Lauren, Zuhair Murad Couture, and Atelier Versace in past years on the Vanity Fair red carpet, and I want to see her deliver this year as well. I think that if she stepped out wearing this cream and gold sequined Elie Saab Spring 2018 Couture sleeveless column gown which features a plunging neckline and a dramatic train that we would see that incredibly glamorous side of Jessica’s style. I feel like this gown is perfect for Oscar night, be it the main show or the parties because of the glamour that it exudes and I definitely think that Jessica would shut it down. Style it with old Hollywood waves, defined eyes, rose pink lips, a gold glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ clutch, metallic gold Jimmy Choo ‘Lane’ sandals, and a pair of white and pink diamond Niwaka drop earrings to really ensure that this looks is head to toe glamour. Michelle Rodriguez was part of the videos that the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences produced to help announce the Academy Awards nominations so it would surprise me if she isn’t out on the red carpets this year. It hasn’t been announced that she is going to be one of the presenters at the Oscars ceremony yet, but if anything I feel like she will be on the red carpet for the parties. In the past Michelle has showcased her edgy approach to glam wearing gowns by Christian Siriano, Galia Lahav, and Vivienne Westwood for the Vanity Fair Oscar party. This year I went with a much tougher, more masculine yet still chic and glamorous approach to dressing for the perfect look for Michelle. She may be among the last stars to be on a wish list for the Oscar parties, but she was one of the first who I was able to pick a look for. This Narciso Rodriguez Pre-Fall 2018 ensemble which features a one shoulder draped top and black silk wool pants was an easy choice for me to make for Michelle to rock on the red carpet for Vanity Fair. I can definitely see Michelle bring this look to life on the red carpet with loose waves, smokey eyes, red lips, a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti strappy crystal embellished sandals, and mismatched Yeprem diamond earrings will ensure that this look is easy glamorous perfection. Insecure star Yvonne Orji is one of the many celebrity co-hosts of the 2018 Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar viewing party and I am really interested in seeing what she will bring to the red carpet. I looked at her past, and what her stylist Ade Samuel has done, to see what the perfect look for Yvonne to wear on Oscar night would be. She has worn a few Delpozo looks in the past and since the Spanish based brand is one of my favorites I immediately thought of this tomato red, mint blue, and burgundy Delpozo Pre-Fall 2018 gown which features a strapless neckline, sequin embellished detail on the bodice, pleated tulle underskirt, and a crepe overlay. I feel like this bold color moment would definitely stand out on the standard white carpet and step and repeat that we usually see at the Elton John party. I am trusting Yvonne with this gown since it is one of my favorite gowns from Pre-Fall 2018, and I think that she can really deliver it to me on the red carpet. I would style it with a red Tyler Ellis ‘Lily’ marbled plexi clutch, a pair of red Charlotte Olympia ‘Wallace’ satin sandals, a sleek vintage inspired updo, smokey eyes, red lips, and a pair of vintage Cartier 18k gold, ruby, sapphire, and diamond starburst ear clips to really make this a major moment for Yvonne’s first Oscar night red carpet. Two years ago on Oscar night I had no idea who Zoey Deutch was. I was tweeting out looks from the parties and I tweeted out pictures of her in her Valentino gown on the Vanity Fair red carpet, and it ended up getting a lot more love than I would have expected. It was a sign that she was a rising ‘IT girl’ and the fact that she has been at the Met Gala and embraced by all of the extremely coveted designers just proves that. For this years Oscar parties I would love to see Zoey show up in one of those extremely coveted designers wearing this black Rodarte Fall 2017 RTW tulle and iridescent sequin midi gown which features a plunging neckline, long sleeves, fabric flower embellishments on the shoulders, and a ruffle tiered skirt. This is a really chic moment and I feel like if anyone could make it work (aside from Tessa Thompson who modeled it for the lookbook) it would be Zoey. The gown doesn’t actually come with the pink fabric flower corsages on the shoulder and sleeve, but I am kinda feeling that the one on the shoulder one would add a layer of more avant garde glamour to the gown. Finishing it with a sleek updo, smokey eye, antique rose pinks lips, a black Tyler Ellis ‘Boff’ pexi box clutch with silver leather strap detail, a pair of black Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ sandals, and Chopard Green Carpet collection diamond wreath earrings would all punctuate why Zoey has been labeled an ‘IT girl.”

Oscar Night 2018 is Sunday March 4, 2018.
