When it comes to who will be on the Oscar party red carpets there is really very little we know about who will be on the red carpets. The names I throw out for these wishes are purely speculative based on who is nominated, presenting, and attending the Oscars, who has been doing the most recently, who usually attends some of the different parties, who’s hot right now, who has projects coming up, who’s on the cover of the Vanity Fair ‘Hollywood Issue,’ and who’s on host committees for some of the different events. Oscar night is always glamorous and stars really step out and deliver some really amazing moments on the red carpet for the parties and I am really excited to see what will come this year. Last year Deepika Padukone had a big Hollywood moment since she was just finishing an international blockbuster promo tour for xXx: Return of Xander Cage ahead of Oscar night 2017, so it was pretty much a no brainer that she was going to be on the Vanity Fair Oscar party red carpet (where she wore Monique Lhuillier.) Then she inked a spokesmodel contract with L’Oreal and did her duties as a L’Orealista at the Cannes Film Festival. Since then Deepika has been pretty low profile and I wonder if she will be on the red carpet again this year. I think that Deepika can really deliver a real moment on the red carpet and I want to see her step out again on Oscar night this year at the Vanity Fair party. I feel like she would take this blush pink Alexander McQueen Spring 2018 RTW ruffled gown inspired but glamorous nightgowns is definitely something I feel like Deepika would wear. I would have the body of the gown lined, because I am pretty much over the sheer gown trend and I think that this gown would actually be even more glamorous lined than sheer. I think that if Deepika paired this lined gown with a loose romantic updo, rose gold smokey eyes, a rose pink Alexander McQueen crystal encrusted skull clasp clutch, a pair of rose pink Alexander McQueen embellished bow sandals, and statement Irene Neuwirth one-of-a-kind sunstone, tourmaline, fire opal, and diamond drop earrings that she would definitely hang with the biggest stars of Oscar night. Jaime King usually gives a really chic moment on an Oscar night red carpet. In the past she has given us everything from bold glamour in Ulyana Sergeenko Couture to bohemian elegance in Altuzarra on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, and I am praying that she will be back on the red carpet this year. I went for nothing but glamour yet again for this years red carpet. This yellow Alexis Mabille Spring 2018 Couture mermaid gown which features a scalloped strapless neckline, a high low hem, black banded waist, and a sparkling sequined lining on the hem really took my breath away and I totally think that Jaime could take this gown off the Paris Haute Couture runway and really deliver it as a really gorgeous moment on this red carpet. I would keep this look really glamorous with a vintage inspired updo, simple defined winged eyes, a bold pink lip, black satin Rochas embellished bow sandals, and a pair of white and yellow diamond Harry Winston cluster earrings.Margot Robbie is nominated at the 2018 Academy Awards, and I cannot wait for you guys to see the gown I picked for her to rock on the red carpet (its silver and couture as a bit of a teaser,) but first I have my wardrobe change for her first. It’s kinda funny when I look at the two gowns I picked for Margot to wear for Oscar night that the look I picked for her to rock for the after-party is more of a princess moment than the gown I picked for her to wear for the actual Oscars ceremony. I saw this white Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture strapless gown which features black piped horizontal layers and immediately thought of Margot and it immediately became my choice for her to wear on the Vanity Fair Oscar party red carpet. I do think that this gown is perfect for Margot, but it is similar to another Dior gown that Margot wore for the 2015 Vanity Fair party. So would she wear it and leave herself open to comparisons against herself? I feel like she would. This modern glam gown would be a really chic moment for Margot and I would finish it with old Hollywood waves, defined eyes, red lips, a pair of white Christian Louboutin ‘Nosy’ PVC detailed pointed toe pumps, and a statement Van Cleef & Arpels diamond necklace to really ensure she just exudes glam.Rita Ora knows how to deliver a real moment on the red carpet and she knows how to deliver glamour in a manner that many don’t even dare. I am really hoping that on the heels of the release of the final installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy just coming out that she will step out on Oscar night giving us head to toe glamour. I feel like she would take this silver Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 Couture liquid sequin gown hand embroidered with over 200,000 crystals, specially cut silver sequins and floral metallic shapes and features an off the shoulder neckline trimmed with off white tassels individually hand bound finished with Swarovski crystals and bugle beads and really ensure that it is ready for an Oscar party red carpet. A sleek updo, smokey eyes, red lips, a pair of ivory glitter Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Follies’ pointed toe pumps, and a statement Chopard Red Carpet Collection diamond collar necklace all would really ensure that Rita owns the red carpet at the Vanity Fair party. Yara Shahidi has really become a real star over the last year. She burst onto the scene wearing Schiaparelli Couture for the InStyle Golden Globes after party last year and her style star has only continued to grow. I would love to see Yara show up on Oscar night to really turn up the dial on her starlight. I feel like a red carpet moment at the Vanity Fair Oscar party is one of those symbols where you realize that you’ve arrived and I definitely think that Yara has earned that. I went to a brand we don’t often see on the red carpet, but when we do it can be magic. I saw this bold purple Kenzo Fall 2018 RTW asymmetrical sequined cocktail dress come down the runway in Paris and immediately thought of what a good gown it would be. I think that as a gown this would be such a chic statement look for Yara to give for Vanity Fair. I went really matchy matchy with the styling adding a pair of purple Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ satin sandals, full bouncy curls, a smokey eye, dark red lip, and a pair of Chopard Red Carpet Collection amethyst feather inspired drop earrings to ensure that this look is head to toe perfection for Yara’s first Oscar night red carpet.
Oscar Night 2018 is Sunday March 4, 2018.
