2018 Grammy Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 4

As each day ticks by ahead of the 2018 Grammy Awards I get more and more excited. There are so many moments that I cannot wait to see and the new couture collections have me excited to see who will be the first to get their hands on the coveted looks that came down the Parisian runways of Valentino, Givenchy, Chanel, Dior, Alexandre Vauthier, and more. I’m not sure if Alicia Keys will be on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, but after she and her husband Swizz Beatz were honored by The Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing at a private gala last night it wouldn’t surprise me if they are on the red carpet. I mentioned I wonder who will be the first to snatch up the Spring 2018 Couture collections, but I went to the Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture collection to pick what I thought is a perfect gown for Alicia to rock on the Grammy Awards red carpet. I think that this black Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture velvet gown which features a high neck, gold chain details, peplum hips, and chiffon panels would be a really strong look for Alicia to bring for this red carpet. I picked this gown thinking that Alicia would just be a guest this year, and I think that this really beautiful gown would be a chic moment for a Grammy’s guest to rock on the red carpet. A sleek high bun, bold defined eyes, nude lips, a pair of black Casadei crossover strap sandals, and vintage 18k gold set Van Cleef & Arpels floral cluster earrings all would add the perfect finishing touches to this look. It was over the last year we have really seen the ladies of HAIM become fashion stars. They have been dressed by Rodarte, Chanel, Valentino, Diane Von Furstenberg, Bottega Veneta, and Dior most notably and I am interested in seeing what they would wear on the Grammy Awards red carpet if they attend after performing at the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala tonight. I haven’t heard if they are going to present or perform, but I went to the hot off the runway styles from the Chanel Spring 2018 Couture collection for the HAIM ladies to rock on the Grammy Awards red carpet. I picked great looks that all compliment each other since the sisters seemed to be attached at the hip in every photo they take on the red carpet. So I’m going to go through the looks from left to right with the girls. First up, Alana Haim. The shortest of the HAIM sister I decided to pick this baby pink crisscross halter cocktail look which features a bell peplum top trimmed in feathered fringe and is completely covered in jade and sequin embellishments. Add a pair of antique rose velvet Aquazzura ‘Purist’ sandals and Chanel Fine Jewelry white and pink diamond floral earrings to make it perfection. For Danielle Haim I went with this white lace strapless cocktail dress overlaid with a crystal beaded organza midi length pinafore which would look chic with a pair of nude Aquazzura ‘Nathalie’ strappy sandals and Chanel Fine Jewelry pink pearl and white diamond earrings. And for Este Haim I decided to accentuate her height with this beaded lace halter gown which features a sheer organza floor length skirt over a short lace skirt. I think that just a pair of neutral Aquazzura ‘Eden’ crystal chandelier heel sandals should compliment this gown. I know that wishing for anything other than hair worn down in loose waves and simple makeup would fall upon deaf ears, but I think that they could make it work anyway. Put Alana in the cocktail dress in the center flanked by sisters in the longer silhouettes to balance the photos perfectly.David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” is among the inductees into the Grammy Hall of Fame this year and I would love to see the late singers wife, supermodel Iman, attend the Grammy Awards in his memory to accept the honor. I adore an Iman red carpet moment and I know that if she does step onto the red carpet at the 2018 Grammy Awards that she will do so in high style. I would love to see her rock this Sebastian Gunawan Spring 2018 Couture gown which features a fiery orange ombré feathered off the shoulder long sleeve bodice and a black chiffon skirt. I was watching runway shows on YouTube one day and this came up on the auto-play and I was captivated and have already used a few of the looks from this relatively unknown Indonesian designer whom I think could be a major player in the international fashion market. Thank god for the power of the internet right? I do think that the formula of Iman in this gown paired with black Gianvito Rossi ‘Grace’ cutout lattice pumps, a sleek hairstyle, smokey eye, nude lips, and a selection of fire inspired Chopard Red Carpet Collection jewels would ensure that she is (as usual) head to toe perfection.Since the American Music Awards last year we have seen Kelly Clarkson exclusively wearing Christian Siriano on the red carpet. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not, and I am praying that on Sunday at the Grammy Awards, where she is nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Love So Soft,” that we will see a really glam side of Kelly. I think that she would look so chic wearing this navy Christian Siriano Pre-Fall 2018 wing sleeve gown which features a v neckline and oversize glitter tulle exaggerated sleeves would help do just that. I think that the oversized sleeves would balance shape with the fitted silhouette against Kelly’s curves quite nicely. I would finish the look with a sleek low bun, defined eyes, nude lips, black Jimmy Choo ‘Annie’ crystal embellished sandals, and Hueb ‘Mirage’ earrings in white gold with black and white diamonds and black quartz to really let the gown be the statement of the look.Miley Cyrus is going to be joining Elton John on the Grammy’s stage on Sunday night and is one of the stars who I am most excited to see on the red carpet and stage this year. While many were done with Miley I was still in her more rebellious phase I was still loving it. I have loved this more glam side of her we have seen while she was a judge on The Voice and I have a feeling that is what we will see on the red carpet. For the red carpet I went to this hot off the runway shocking pink Schiaparelli Spring 2018 Couture strapless heart shaped bodice gown which features nude tulle overlaid on the skirt and some serious skin being shown. I think that this dramatic glam moment is definitely something that Miley would be drawn to and I feel like it would be Elton John approved. Finish the red carpet look with a pair of red, pink, and gold color blocked Casadei ‘Techno Blade’ crossover strap sandals, sleek bun, smokey eye, light pink lips, and edgy pink tourmaline and diamond Chow Tau Fook earrings to really make it perfection. For her performance with Elton I went to the Gucci Spring 2018 RTW collection, which featured several looks that were inspired by some of Elton’s past performance ensembles. I think that this orange and pink very 80’s style jumpsuit which features harem pants, a plunging scoop neckline, and leg o’ mutton sleeves inspired by a look that Elton wore for a concert in 1986. Pair it with sleek hair and a pair of hot pink Casadei metallic open toe platform sandals and I think that would really make for such perfect moment for her to rock on the Grammy Awards stage.Tina Turner is getting one of the Lifetime Achievement Awards this year and I am expecting to see her inside at the 2018 Grammy Awards, if she doesn’t walk the red carpet. Giorgio Armani has been Tina’s go to designer for years, so it was easy for be to head to this black liquid sequin Giorgio Armani Spring 2018 RTW suit which features laser cutout details on the jacket and three-quarter length sleeves to be the perfect moment on the red carpet. This look is chic and simple in its style but is so sparkly that it works for the Grammy Awards. A black crocodile Judith Leiber Couture coffered clutch, full hair, kohl rimmed eyes, red lips, black satin Manolo Blahnik ‘Perloco’ pumps, and Harry Winston diamond chandelier earrings all would ensure that this look just oozes icon status moment for Tina.

The 2018 Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday January 28, 2018.
