2018 Grammy Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 3

We are getting even closer to this years Grammy Awards and I am SOOOOOOO excited. The stars that are confirmed to attend are crazy good. From nominees to performers to presenters this year is going to be so good. I still have so many stars to fit in to today, tomorrow, and Saturday’s wishes for this years red carpet. As the Grammy’s move to NYC this year to celebrate the 60th ceremony and parties have already started to show I think that this year will be one of the greatest red carpets at the Grammy Awards in a long time. Coming off of the news that her song “Stand Up For Something” from the Marshall soundtrack was nominated for an Oscar (though she isn’t named as one of the nominees) I am betting we will see Andra Day on the Grammy Awards red carpet on Sunday night. At the Grammy’s Andra is a named nominee as a performer and songwriter for “Stand Up For Something” and I am interested in seeing what she will bring to the red carpet. When it comes to her style Andra gives bold 40’s meet 60’s meets 80’s vibes on the red carpet all the time and I am really excited to see what she will bring to this years red carpet. I went for a very burlesque glam look for Andra to wear on Sunday with this blue, red, and white beaded Nicolas Jebran Fall 2017 Couture off the shoulder gown which features a fitted silhouette, long sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, and a center split. This gown on its own is a very 80’s style, but what I think would make this a real moment for Andra is the styling. I definitely went with my #WhenInDoubtBeExtra philosophy when it comes to the styling for this look. I think that if she paired this look with a statement red feathered boa, a thick winged eyeliner, dramatic full old Hollywood waves, a deep red lip, black Christian Louboutin ‘Fliketta’ patent leather pumps, and statement Jacob & Co. diamond and ruby earrings that we would have a really major moment on the Grammy’s red carpet. Bruno Mars has SIX nominations at the Grammy Awards including Record, Album, and Song of the Year. He will also be joined by Cardi B to perform “Finesse (Remix)” on the Grammy stage. I have to say I love me some Bruno on the red carpet. He has some great style. I wouldn’t expect to see Bruno step onto the red carpet this year wearing any kind of suit or tuxedo. Instead I went to the recently presented Versace Fall 2018 Menswear collection. For the red carpet I went to this blue Versace medusa baroque print silk trench coat layered over a black sheer blouse covered in velvet floral baroque print and paired with a pair of black tapered pants. I think that this very chic moment could definitely be rocked by Bruno on the Grammy Awards red carpet. For the performance of Finesse (REMIX)” with Cardi I kept the 90’s fly boy vibes that they gave off in the music video (that I also did with Cardi.) Bright colors via this teal, gold, and pink baroque print short sleeve button down is perfection! I think that Bruno would probably swap the skinny black pants for a pair of acid wash distressed jeans, but I would want him to keep the runways matching sneakers. Each of these looks is a real statement. They won’t be to everyone’s liking, but I think that they scream Bruno’s style and would be perfect for the Grammy Awards. We are expecting to see John Legend on the Grammy Awards red carpet since he is performing at the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala honoring Fleetwood Mac tomorrow and his producer Blake Mills is nominated for two of John’s tracks. When it comes to the red carpet John always looks great, but his wife Chrissy Teigan always serves lewks on the red carpet. Chrissy has been serving major maternity moments recently and I am sure that she will serve another one on the Grammy Awards red carpet on Sunday. I went sleek and sexy with this black Cushnie et Ochs Pre-Fall 2018 one shoulder embellished gown which features a streamlined silhouette with a single long sleeve, medium strap and high slit which would put her burgeoning baby bump on full display. I love that Chrissy doesn’t let a baby bump alter her style. She is just as authentically herself while pregnant as she is when she isn’t and that is what I love about her. I think that keeping the sexy nature of this look through the styling with a black glitter Edie Parker ‘Jean’ acrylic clutch, Jimmy Choo ‘Betty’ strappy crystal embellished sandals, a sleek hairstyle tucked behind the ears, simple smokey eye, red lip, and ruby Hemmerle tassel earrings.Lady Gaga holds two nominations, one for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Million Reasons” and one for Best Pop Vocal Album for Joanne, and will be performing on Sunday night. I LOVE a Gaga red carpet moment, but you never seem to know what side of Gaga you will see on the red carpet for a music event. She has given 80’s rocker, big band glam, David Bowie, space alien chic, and of course the infamous egg on past Grammy Awards red carpet. So I never know exactly what route I should go down for her to wear on the Grammy Awards red carpet. I decided to feed into the much more glamorous side of Gaga with three very beautiful moments for her to rock this year. For the red carpet I went full drama with this white and mint feathered Ralph & Russo Fall 2017 Couture strapless ombré ball gown. I loved this gown when it came down the runway back in July of last year, but I knew that it would take a vert specific star to make it work on a red carpet. I haven’t put it on any wish list yet because there hasn’t been a case of right girl and right event, until now. I want really major drama from Gaga on the Grammy Awards red carpet, and this is definitely just that. Add a sleek updo, bold mint eyes, hot pink lips, off-white iridescent glitter Giuseppe Zanotti platform block heel sandals, and a pair of vintage Cartier jade, onyx, and diamond earrings to really make this dramatic gown a true dramatic glam moment on the red carpet. Gaga loves wardrobe changes so I am expecting multiple costume changes through the night. I don’t know what song Gaga will perform on Sunday night, she is rumored to be getting ready to release new music so she could very well drop the first single from her new album or she may perform one of the songs off of Joanne. With that in mind I didn’t pick a performance look for Gaga. Instead I just have to wardrobe changes for no other reason than the sake of fashion and glamour. The first is a white vintage Atelier Versace draped jersey gown from Fall 1999 which features a very daring plunging neckline, a beaded Medusa logo, and draped open back. Gaga is a good friend of Versace and I definitely think that this would be a great moment for her to pay tribute to Gianni Versace as we still see Donatella keeping that spirit alive. I would let Gaga’s hair down into old Hollywood waves, swap the mint eye for midnight blue glitter winged eyes, add a red lip, silver crystal embellished Aquazzura ‘Chateau’ asymmetrical slingback sandals, and a statement diamond and sapphire Cartier panther necklace to keep the full glam show going. The final look is a little (very little) more laid back with this Brandon Maxwell Spring 2018 RTW ensemble which features a white shirt is constructed in a cotton twill shirting with a pointed collar, long sleeves, and pleated back train and a pair of acid wash alligator leather pants. I think that to close out the night that this would be a really chic moment from her friend and stylist turned star designer. A chic chignon, the same makeup as the Versace gown, a pair of white Aquazzura ‘Nathalie’ crisscross leather sandals, and a pair of statement diamond, emerald, and sapphire Cartier earrings all would ensure that this is a glam way for Gaga to close out the Grammy’s.Miranda Lambert is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for her song “Tin Man” which is also nominated for Best Country Song. I won’t lie I am very up and down when it comes to Miranda’s style. Sometimes it seems like she puts it 100% effort and others the effort seems to lack. I want to see her give full effort on Sunday night wearing this pink sapphire Georges Hobeika Spring 2018 Couture strapless column gown which features beautiful intricate embroidery. I had actually originally a Pamella Roland gown for Miranda to wear, but then Halle Berry wore it for the SAG Awards this past weekend. So luckily some of the brands that Miranda has shown love to on past red carpets showed their new couture collections this week and I decided to swap that Pamella gown with this Georges Hobeika gown, and honestly I am more in love with the idea of this than I was with the Pamella gown. A romantic updo, gold glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ clutch, smokey eye, light pink lips, multi tone gold glitter Casadei sandals, and a pair of chic pink tourmaline Irene Neuwirth earrings would ensure that this is one of Miranda’s best red carpet looks EVER.Rounding out today is the always gorgeous Nicole Kidman. If we see Keith Urban attend the Grammy’s on Sunday night after performing at the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala tomorrow night I would bet that Nicole Kidman will be right by his side. She had to miss out on his winning night last year since she was in London for the BAFTA Awards, but since her awards season run is over I would bet that she will be in NYC with Keith. I LOVE seeing Nicole on music red carpets because she just brings her brand of glamour to the red carpet. I went for a bold statement with this hot pink, white, and black fully sequined Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2017 Couture long sleeve column gown for her to rock on Sunday night’s red carpet. There are very obvious 80’s vibes from this gown and I really do think that Nicole on a Grammy’s red carpet could sell it to me. Keep the styling rather simple with a pair of hot pink Aquazzura ‘Desert Rose’ sandals, sleek ponytail, simple neutral makeup, and a pair of Fred Leighton black jade and diamond pendant earrings to really let the gown be the biggest statement of this whole ensemble.

The 2018 Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday January 28, 2018.
