2018 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 6

We have reached my final set of wishes for the 2018 Critics Choice Awards red carpet. I am uber excited to see what all of the stars are going to bring to this red carpet. With the show taking place between the Golden Globe Awards and the SAG Awards I think we just might have out most star studded Critics Choice red carpet in a long time. Carey Mulligan is nominated for Best Acting Ensemble with the rest of the cast of Mudbound. If the fact that this cast has been honored with a Film Independent Spirit Award, Gotham Award, Hollywood Film Award, San Diego Film Critics Society, and a Satellite Award already and a SAG Award nomination in this category I think it is highly likely that they will take this category at the Critics Choice Awards as well. I think that the cast will be on top form all through awards season and I hope we get to see Carey throughout awards season. I would love to see her rock the Critics red carpet wearing this mint green Valentino Spring 2017 Couture gown which features a plunging neckline, beaded embroidery, and an a-line skirt. I have been surprised that this very chic and elegant gown has not been worn on a red carpet since it was presented almost over a year ago. Kick the look to the top of the best dressed list by adding a loose waves, a winged eye, pink lips, nude Valentino ‘Pop Flowers’ sandals with gold floral beading, a pair of yellow gold set vintage Cartier diamond and emerald flower ear clips, and a statement yellow gold set Cartier High Jewelry bracelet made up of cat’s eye tourmalines, emeralds, onyx, yellow, orange, white, and brown diamonds.Diane Kruger took the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in In The Fade, which is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at this years Critics Choice Awards. I am PRAYING to the red carpet fashion gods that Diane will be out in full force promoting the film. For this red carpet I would love to see Diane wearing this beautiful black velvet Monse Pre-Fall 2018 gown which features an a-line silhouette with a wide neckline, long sleeves (one silver sequined and one black velvet one,) and asymmetric ruffle hem. This collection was released just as the nominations for the 2018 Critics Choice Awards and I knew that it would make for a really major moment on Diane and I think that this red carpet would be a perfect time for her to bust it out. Add a chic updo, smokey eye, red lip, black Judith Leiber Couture ‘Speccio’ faceted box clutch, black Tom Ford ‘Curb-Chain’ platform sandals, and a pair of sapphire and diamond Bulgari High Jewellery earrings to ensure that Diane is the picture of perfection.Greta Gerwig has been raking in honors and nominations this year for her directorial debut Lady Bird. At the 2018 Critics Choice Awards Greta is nominated for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, and I am so excited to see what awards season with her will bring. The Critics red carpet is more laid back than most of the televised awards shows. Simple gowns and cocktail looks are the norm on this red carpet. I would love to see Greta step out wearing this dark blue Narciso Rodriguez Pre-Fall 2018 bias draped, fully sequined, sleeveless gown which features a plunging scoop neckline. I feel like the sleek, modern nature of this gown are perfect for Greta. I think that frills are the last thing that make for a really major moment for Greta. To really ensure that this gown is a major moment for Greta I think that styling it with a sleek updo, bold defined eyes, a light pink lip, dark grey satin Gianvito Rossi pleated satin crystal buckle sandals, and statement smokey diamond H. Stern earrings would ensure that she will own this red carpet.Kristen Bell is gearing up for a busy awards season. She just presented at the Golden Globe Awards, has a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series this Thursday, and will be the first ever host of the SAG Awards later this year. For this red carpet I would love to see Kristen go for princess chic on this red carpet with this royal blue Basil Soda Spring 2018 RTW a-line gown which features beautiful embellishments. Princess gowns are something that Kristen loved to do on the red carpet, and I think that this would be a really great way for her to do that on the Critics Choice Awards red carpet. Complete this this look with a sleek high bun updo, smokey eye, bold pink lips, pair of navy Casadei sequin and fringe trimmed sandals, and a selection of Martin Katz jewels including a pair of square sapphire drop earrings, and a statement sapphire cocktail ring.Meryl Streep started the black gown trend that started at the Golden Globes. Will she continue to wear black gowns on the red carpet over the course of awards season. I want to see Meryl really serve up some looks this year after having so many major moment son the red carpet last year. I would love to see Meryl give us this emerald Alexis Mabille Fall 2017 Couture ensemble which features a gold embroidered blazer, black silk tank top, and a pleated evening skirt. Many would see this look and think of someone much older than Meryl, but I think that she would take this ensemble and really turn it into a really chic and elegant moment on this red carpet. I think that the strength that this look exudes would fit right into what makes Meryl win on the red carpet. I think that if she styled this look with a black, green, and gold Prada clutch, chic updo, bold defined eyed, red lips, a pair of emerald green Prada satin pumps embellished with gold baubles, and 18k gold set vintage Van Cleef & Arpels diamond and emerald leaf earrings all would ensure that Meryl is perfection from head to toe.Saoirse Ronan is going to be one of the brightest style stars this awards season. I think that if she stepped onto the Critics Choice Awards red carpet, where she is nominated for Best Actress and Best Actress in a Comedy, wearing this light blue chiffon Valentino Fall 2017 Couture empire style draped gown (sans long sleeve poet blouse underside) that Saoirse would ensure that she continues to wow on her winning run to the Academy Awards. I think that the classic glamour of this gown is exactly why I think that it would make for a really beautiful moment on the red carpet for Saoirse. Round the look out with a romantic updo, smokey eyes, white Sophia Webster butterfly laser cut sandals, a nude lip, and a pair of beautiful Chopard Red Carpet Collection diamond and sapphire drop earrings to ensure turn the look into a beautiful, glamorous moment for the 2018 Critics Choice Awards red carpet. My final wish list for the 2018 Critics Choice Awards red carpet is for Best Actress in a Comedy Film nominee Zoe Kazan. Zoe has a very flirty approach to glamour and I am really interested in seeing what she will bring to this red carpet. I think that this flamingo pink J. Mendel Spring 2018 RTW gown which features ruffled tiers, floral polka dots, and v-neckline falls right into her typical style. The soft femininity of this gown is what I think would draw Zoe to it. I think that a gold Judith Leiber Couture crocodile embossed coffered clutch, a romantic updo, winged eyeliner, a matching pink lip, metallic gold Jimmy Choo ‘Lane’ sandals, and a pair of no name vintage pink coral pendant earrings all would ensure that this look is the epitome of flirty femininity.

The 2018 Critics Choice Awards will take place on Thursday January 11, 2018.
