2017 End of the Year Style Awards: Best Ensemble Cast

There have been a lot of really great movie tours over the course of this year. So many stars brought their a-game, but there weren’t many tours where big casts stepped out for a lot of the premieres. I was expecting big things from tours like Murder on the Orient Express, Blade Runner 2049, and Beauty and the Beast. Sadly most of those tours were either quite short, or despite having star studded casts were dominated by one or two of the films stars. The biggest tour of the year was the tour for The Mummy and the cast really brought it. I wasn’t very excited about this tour and I didn’t make any wishes for the films stars to wear while promoting this film. While the ensemble of this film really consisted of two style stars Sofia Boutella and Annabelle Wallis rocked the red carpet premieres in every single city that they jetted to. The highlight of the tour for me was when Sofia stepped onto the NYC premiere red carpet wearing a custom Rodarte gown that just exuded mummy glamour. I usually find kitschy looks distasteful, but this look was one that I ended up putting on my best dressed for that month and is a finalist for my Best Dressed of the Year list. Sofia also rocked other Rodarte and custom Miu Miu gowns while promoting The Mummy and Annabelle chose custom Prada, Miu Miu, Emilio Pucci, Giorgio Armani, Alberta Ferretti, and Givenchy for many of the different events. My favorite look that Annabelle wore was the deep red custom Miu Miu gown that she wore for the films premiere in Taipei. These two ladies really brought the glamour to the red carpet this year and I cannot wait to see what more they have in store for the future.
