2017 End of the Year Style Awards: Best Dressed Head of State

Last year in post election America I have to say that I wasn’t sure if I would be considering handing out this award this year. I have been very adamant about not covering anything in reference to the current President of the United States, and that includes the First Lady. In the past the Duchess of Cambridge, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, and First Lady Michelle Obama have taken this award home. I have to say thank god for the European royals because without them this award would have been cut.  Princess Charlene of Monaco wore some really major looks this year that pushed the boundaries on what we expect from a royal. She wore some really gorgeous looks from Versace including a sequined strapless Atelier Versace jumpsuit for the annual Red Cross ball that I just don’t think anyone would have ever expected from a royal. She did beautiful looks from Dior, Ralph Lauren, Akris, and Giambattista Valli this year. This is the best year that Princess Charlene has had since she first came onto my radar ahead of her marriage to Prince Albert back in 2010.
