2017 Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment Luncheon Red Carpet Wish List

It might seem a little early to post this list, but with planning for my end of the year awards, wishes for blockbuster December movie premieres, and setting up my wishes for awards season next week. The 2017 Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment luncheon will take place on Wednesday December 6, 2017 and I always love seeing these red carpets but often I don’t have enough of a heads up with the who, what, when, and where that I don’t get to feature these events. So when I got a google alert with info on this one I was quick to throw a wish list together. This years red carpet is bound to be studded with bigger stars than ever already slated to attend.Angelina Jolie will deliver the keynote speech at this years Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment luncheon and I am honestly really excited to see what she will bring to the red carpets. We have seen Angelina really deliver some major moments recently making her triumphant red carpet return while promoting her latest directorial endeavor, First They Killed My Father. Angelina has always been one of my favorite stars to see on the red carpet because she always exudes strength and glamour. I think that Angelina would be the perfect person to bring this eggplant purple Schiaparelli Fall 2017 Couture sleeveless shift dress which features a built in orange ribbon belt with a crystal embellishment. A luncheon isn’t necessarily the first event I think of couture for, but Angelina is a different breed and I think that this dress is actually quite fitting for this occasion. With old Hollywood waves, a defined eye, light pink lip, and a pair of orange Emilio Pucci ankle strap stiletto sandals Angelina will just exude glamour.Jennifer Lawrence has also had a really great year this year, style wise. She has had some really great looks this year. She has opened her eyes to more designers than just Dior. I think that breaking up her Dior contract with other brands has made JLaw less monotonous. She has also been the only Dior ambassador that has actually made me really love any Dior moment on the red carpet this year, but for this event I left of Dior for Jennifer. She has worn several Sally LaPointe designs on the red carpet and I think that she would definitely look amazing accepting her Sherry Lansing Leadership Award, given annually to a woman who has been a pioneer and philanthropic leader in her industry, wearing this emerald green metallic Sally LaPointe Spring 2018 RTW ensemble which features a tank top and a pair of boot cut pants. This casual red carpet is a perfect place to make this look come to life. I think that pairing this ensemble with the emerald green beaded cropped jacket from another Sally LaPointe look, loose waves, kohl rimmed eyes, a glossy nude lip, and a pair of black glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Jenna’ platform sandals all would make for another major moment for Jennifer on the red carpet this year. Meryl Streep has become a style star again. I am really excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet when she, a former Lansing Award recipient herself, will present Amy Pascal with the second annual Equity in Entertainment Award, given to an individual in the show business community who has proved committed to providing opportunities for women and people of color. Meryl has been one of the loudest advocates for the advancement of equality for women not just in Hollywood, but in all aspects of life. For this red carpet I wanted to see Meryl to give a feminine take on pantsuits with this white MaxMara Spring 2018 RTW suit printed with purple and yellow flowers. This suit is really chic and I think that Meryl would definitely let her more feminine side flow wearing this look. Usually Meryl wears solid suits, but I think that this floral suit would be a great change of pace. Since the suit is so far out of Meryl’s standard comfort zone I wanted to style the look very simply for Meryl. A chic pulled back updo, light pink lip, and a pair of nude Manolo Blhanik ‘BB’ pumps all would round this look out perfectly.
