2017 Monaco National Day Red Carpet Wish List

It was at the Monaco National Day festivities back in 2010 that I first took notice of Charlene Wittstock, the future Princess of Monaco. She wore two beautiful Armani Prive ensembles (for the church service and the gala concert)  and definitely made it so that I would take notice of her style. Following her wedding I have to say that Princess Charlene’s style hadn’t really been much of note, that was until this year. From Atelier Versace to Ralph Lauren Princess Charlene has had some really beautiful, eye catching looks this year and I am really looking forward to what she will wear this year for the Monaco National Day festivities. I am praying that this year Princess Charlene really brings the fashion factor during the Monaco National Day festivities this year. For the church service and royal balcony appearances during the day I turned to a favorite designer of several of the Monegasque royals, Chanel. I think that this classic yet modern take on the classic tweed suit with this green Chanel Spring 2017 Couture skirt suit is perfect for this occasion and I think that Charlene would definitely make this a major moment. I think that with chic hair accented with a gold fascinator, a defined eye, nude lip, olive green Paul Andrew ‘Zenadia’ pumps, and a pair of vintage Cartier 18k gold and diamond starburst ear clips Charlene would be the epitome of a modern royal. For the usual gala concert that takes place in the evening I went to a designer that Charlene wears a lot more often, Akris. I have to say when it comes to designers that Akris is one of the luxury brands that I find to be terribly underrated and underutilized. Charlene has worn several designs from the brand in the past and I think that this black Akris Spring 2018 RTW gown which features a square neckline and geometric 3D floral appliques would be a perfect moment for this years gala. On the runway this gown was paired with a sheer short sleeve tunic under the gown, which I think adds to the glamour of this look for Princess Charlene. A black Fendi flower embellished cape to keep her warm at night, black patent leather Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Sharon’ peep toe pumps, and a pair of Van Cleef & Arpels diamond and emerald cluster earrings all would perfectly punctuate the regality of this look.
