2017 American Cinematheque Awards Red Carpet Wish List

Every year heading into awards season American Cinematheque honors an extraordinary artist in in the entertainment industry who is fully engaged in his or her work and is committed to making a significant contribution to the art of motion picture creation. In the past few years artists such as Ridley Scott, Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, Jerry Bruckheimer, Ben Stiller, and Robert Downey Jr. have all been awarded with the American Cinematheque Award and I am really excited that they have decided to honor Amy Adams with this years award.Amy Adams has always been one of my favorites to see on a red carpet and watch on screen. She has definitely earned this honor with 53 film credits under her belt already, 5 upcoming projects as an actress, and 5 Oscar nominations under her belt Amy is one of the most glamorous hustlers in Hollywood. I am really hoping that when Amy steps onto the red carpet at the American Cinematheque Honors gala that she does so in top fashion form. After wall to wall Tom Ford during the this last awards season promoting Nocturnal Animals and Arrival I am praying that she will start to give us a little variation in her designers on the red carpet again. I would love to see Amy give us simple, elegant, glamour wearing this scarlet red Oscar de la Renta Resort 2018 gown which features a one shoulder crystal strap neckline with ruching detail at the side, a full length skirt, and a relaxed column fit. I think that this gown would be such a chic moment on the red headed beauty. It screams Halston, 70’s Studio 54 glamour in such a chic and modern manner. With a chic updo, kohl rimmed eyes, a matte nude lip, red Gianvito Rossi asymmetric strappy patent sandals, and a pair of small vintage Cartier diamond and ruby ear clips Amy would be set for a major moment on her big night. Kristen Stewart is confirmed to be one of the guests who will be on the red carpet at the 2017 American Cinematheque Awards honoring Amy Adams. The two stared alongside each other in the 2012 film On The Road and Kristen will make the journey to LA to celebrate Amy’s successes. I would place a bet that Kristen will go back to her go to brand to wear on the red carpet, Chanel, for this event. While Fall 2017 RTW collections are now in stores I would love to see Kristen show up wearing this black Chanel Fall 2017 RTW gown which features a metal halter neck, a fully beaded bodice, a sheer skirt, and feather trim. This gown is totally up Kristen’s edgy glam style and I know that if anyone could make it rock on a red carpet then it will be Kristen. A punky spiked updo, a navy eye, nude lip, black Christian Louboutin ‘Choca Spikes’ sandals, and edgy blue metal and black diamond Dauphin earcuffs all would add to the edge of this look.Natalie Portman has never starred in a film alongside Amy, but the two are such good friends that she would not miss out on Amy’s big honor. Natalie has not had a great year style wise. I know I say I loathe strict brand ambassador contracts and all of Natalie’s looks this year have just proven my point. I don’t think that is going to change anytime soon though so I better get used to it. I know that Natalie has potential with the brand, she has taken home my Best Brand Ambassador award before, I just think that I loathe Maria Grazia Chiuri. I think that this brown iridescent sequined 60’s Christian Dior Spring 2018 RTW column gown which features a Peter Pan collar and a hem that doesn’t hit the floor could be a really great moment for Natalie with the right styling. I think that a sleek bouffant, smokey eye, nude lips, a gold Dior ‘Diorama’ clutch, brown satin Sarah Chofakian pumps which features multicolored crystal broaches, and a pair of bronze and multicolored diamond de Grisogono earrings would be the perfect way to ensure that this is an absolutely major moment for Natalie.
