2017 Princess Grace Awards Red Carpet Wish List

The 2017 Princess Grace Awards will take place at The Beverley Hilton in Hollywood on Wednesday October 23, 2017. The gala moved to Hollywood after traditionally being held in New York City. The Princess Grace Awards honor the rising stars in the arts and are presented by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco every year and I always look forward to seeing what the Princess will wear. The gala is once again being presented by Dior and I am sure that Princess Charlene will once again wear Dior Couture for the red carpet. It is not secret that I am no big fan of Maria Grazia Chiuri as the creative director for Dior. Since her debut a year ago I have just loathed each collection a little more. There are a few high points from her couture collections that deserve red carpet moments, but surprisingly the looks that I think have the most red carpet potential haven’t been worn. When I went searching through Dior runways for the perfect look for Princess Charlene to wear on this red carpet I went back to the Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture collection and this black and nude strapless ‘Charles James’ inspired design. I was really surprised this gown hasn’t been worn yet, but I think that Princess Charlene would be the perfect person to wear this gown. Now a ball gown might be a little much since her history has only seen Princess Charlene wearing simpler silhouettes for the red carpet at the Princess Grace Awards, but I think that this gown would look extremely glamorous in this creation. I would style it with a chic coif, black Jimmy Choo ‘Lucy’ pumps, kohl rimmed eyes, red lip, and Dior High Jewellery that includes diamond and emerald ‘Salon de Mars Pampille’ chandelier earrings and diamond and emerald ‘Acanthe Fontage’ ring to really make this look royal elegance personified.
