2017 Australians in Film Awards Red Carpet Wish List

I can honestly say that I have never heard of the Australians in Film Awards before. I got a Google Alert for an unrelated awards show that had this in its results and I thought that I would run with it. On October 18, 2017 the biggest names in Australian film will converge in Hollywood to honor some of the rising talent from the past year and I am interested to see what will come from this red carpet. 13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford is one of the people being honored with the Screen Australia Breakthrough Award at the 2017 Australians in Film Awards. She will join the likes of Margot Robbie, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Debicki, Joel Edgerton, and Mia Wasikowska who have all be recipients of the breakthrough award in past years. I don’t really know what Katherine’s style is. Her first two big red carpet appearances had her wearing off the rack Givenchy and then for the Teen Choice Awards she wore a custom Prada design, so it would seem like the fashion world is slowly starting to take an interest in Katherine. For the Australians in Film Awards I went with this pretty basic black embroidered tulle Marchesa Notte Spring 2018 RTW long sleeve midi dress which features cold shoulders and ruffled details. Wearing Marchesa Notte kinda seems like a step down from custom Prada, but I think that if Alicia Vikander can go from custom Louis Vuitton one day to Marchesa Notte while promoting Bulgari that the brand has a little more clout than I thought it did. I think that this is a beautiful dress and I think that for a rising fashion star that this would be a beautiful option for Katherine to wear on the red carpet. I think that if Katherine elevated this look with loose waves tucked behind the ears, a smokey eye, nude lip, and a pair of gold glitter Miu Miu ankle wrap pumps that this would be a gorgeous moment for her.
