The American Ballet Theater Fall Gala is the second of the ballet gala’s that are hot tickets on the New York City red carpet scene. The star power in this years line up of gala co-chairs has me really excited. While the New York City Ballet focuses more on the fashion side the ABT gala is celebrating diversity on the stage. I am hoping that all of the ladies that are on the co-chair list all step out on Wednesday October 18, 2017. Cynthia Erivo is a supporter of all things artistic and I am really hoping that she will embrace her inner red carpet diva and really blow me away on the red carpet at the American Ballet Theater Fall Gala. I immediately went to Christian Siriano because with the theme of diversity that this years gala is pointed to he is one that is championing diversity on the runways. I thought that this black Christian Siriano Spring 2018 RTW column gown which features a moon curve neckline, off the shoulder bell sleeves, and a mint green tiered mermaid train would be absolutely beautiful on Cynthia. She is quite petite, but I think that Cynthia has the diva presence to really make it come to life on the red carpet. On most her size the dress would wear her, but I know that she has the star power to shine through it. Short bleached hair, black and gold Saint Laurent ‘Love Leather’ hear shaped clutch, smokey eye, glossy nude lip, black and gold Christian Louboutin ‘Glenalta’ t-strap platform sandals, and pair of Annoushka dusty diamonds and olive quartz earrings would all add to the perfection of this look.Diane Kruger is always one of my favorite ladies to see on the red carpet and I got really excited to see that her name was on the list of co-chairs for this years American Ballet Theater Fall Gala. Diane is a huge supporter of all things arts and has supported all of the big institutions in the past from the New York City Ballet to the Metropolitan Opera and from what I can see this will be the first time that she will step out on the red carpet to support ABT. Diane is one that I could see bringing the couture factor to this red carpet, and I think that she would go for something cocktail if she wore couture for an event like this. I would die if Diane stepped onto the red carpet at the American Ballet Theater fall gala wearing this baby pink Chanel Spring 2017 Couture strapless cocktail dress which features a strapless embellished bustier, belted waist, and full feathered mini skirt. This dress is definitely not for the faint of heart and there are only a few people who I can picture making this dress work on the red carpet and Diane is definitely one of the ones who could make it really work. I would elevate this look with a silver Edie Parker ‘Flavia Confetti’ acrylic clutch, glamorous old Hollywood waves, Aquazzura ‘Temptation’ crustal slingback sandals, and a pair of pink sapphire Chopard chandelier earrings to ensure that Diane slays the red carpet.Giovanna Battaglia is a contributing fashion editor for W magazine and a senior fashion editor for Vogue Japan and I absolutely adore her style. She is the epitome of the fashion girl. She rocks high fashion all day every day. This is the first time I have been able to feature her on this website and I am so excited that I am able. Giovanna is one of the fabulous co-chairs of this gala. After she has made the journey from New York to Paris over fashion month to scope out the best of fashion and I think that this peony pink and hibiscus red Prabal Gurung Spring 2018 RTW twister halter side cut-out gown would be a perfect option for her to rock on this red carpet. I will say I had picked this gown out before I saw Michelle Monaghan wear a similar green and blue gown from this same collection at the New York City Ballet gala and I wonder if Gio would wear this gown to such a similar event so close to when it happened. The gown could be elevated even more with a pair of silver Miu Miu glitter and stud embellished pumps, chic updo, kohl rimmed eyes, red lip, and a pair of pink sapphire Chopard flamingo shapped drop earrings to make it fashion lady chic. Katie Holmes is a constant supporter of American Ballet Theater. Earlier this year Katie was a chair of the ABT Spring Gala. I have to say that I am really excited to see what she will wear on the red carpet at the Fall Gala. Most of Katie’s red carpet looks this year have come from her friend Zac Posen, and she has been delivering amazing looks all year. I went through a long period of loathing her looks when she was married to Tom Cruise and the time immediately following their separation and divorce. She has found her footing again and I am loving it. For the spring gala she went short, but the fall gala is definitely more formal so I would love to see Katie wearing this black Zac Posen Spring 2018 RTW strapless ballgown which features beautiful light greed 3D floral embellishments. This gown is pure glamour and I think that with a chic updo, smokey eye, red lip, black Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Ada’ sandals, and a pair of vintage diamond and emerald Bulgari earrings that Katie would have another major red carpet moment.Maggie Gyllenhaal has this sense of style that can go from sleek glamour to bohemian elegance on the red carpet and I am really excited to see what she will wear on the red carpet at the American Ballet Theater Fall Gala. She was just front row at the Miu Miu Spring 2018 RTW show so I think that a custom Miu Miu gown could be on the horizon for Maggie. I went with the sleeker side of glamour with this royal blue Roland Mouret ‘Cheveley’ flutter-sleeve strappy evening gown for Maggie. She has worn Roland Mouret several times in the past, including being his date to the Met Gala once, and when I saw this gown it was perfect for this red carpet. Adding a romantic updo, smokey eye, red lip, black Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudistpearls’ sandals, and a pair of diamond and pearl Tiffany & Co. tassel drop earrings would ensure that Maggie has this absolutely glamorous red carpet moment. Naomi Campbell has been very up and down on the red carpet, as she always has been. I am interested in seeing what she will bring to the red carpet as a co-chair of this years ABT Fall Gala. Naomi is a close personal friend of Azzedine Alaia and she is one of the few who I think that could get her hands on one of his beautiful Fall 2017 Couture gowns. I think that this halter gown which features a velvet bodice, nude ball skirt layered under black tulle with a lace trimmed hem would be a beautiful moment on the red carpet for Naomi. A grand couture gown might be a little bit of a stretch for Naomi to wear on this red carpet, but I think that she would definitely bring this look to life. Of all the ladies that are on this list Naomi is the only person who I think fits the aesthetic that gala presenting sponsor the jeweler deGrisogono so I picked a pair of black and champagne diamond and pearl earrings to compliment this gown. A sleek high ponytail, smokey eye, red lip, and a pair of simple black Christian Louboutin ‘Mira Bella” strappy peep toe sandals would all make this a really beautiful moment for Naomi. Natalie Portman’s husband and ballet choreographer Benjamin Millepied is one of the co-chairs of this years gala and I am hoping that she will be on his arm looking as gorgeous as ever at this years American Ballet Theater Fall Gala. I haven’t loved a single look that Natalie has worn this year and I am hoping that since she isn’t the focus of the night that the release of pressure that Natalie will deliver a beautiful moment on the red carpet. I think that this grey to red ruffled tulle Christian Dior Fall 2017 Couture strapless a-line gown would be beautiful on Natalie. I thought of Natalie for this gown when I first saw it on the runway back in July and I think that an event like this is the perfect place for her to bring it to life on a red carpet. The gown would be perfectly complimented with a chic updo, smokey eye, red lip, red Jimmy Choo ‘Lang’ glitter cutout sandals, and Dior High Jewellery pieces including a pair ‘Ruban’ diamond cluster earrings and a ‘Salon de Mercure’ ruby and diamond bracelet.
