Tomorrow the Hamptons International Film Festival kicks off and I am really excited to see what will come. Usually the red carpets at the screenings at this festival aren’t the most star studded, but occasionally some stars step out to promote their films. I am expecting some of cast members of films that are gala screenings to make the jaunt to the seaside film festival. As I said the other day in my last set of wishes for the 2017 London Film Festival I was looking forward to seeing Abbie Cornish make the promo tour rounds to promote Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, but she has been missing from every single premiere so far. I know that a centerpiece gala at the Hamptons Film Festival isn’t the red carpet at Venice or Toronto, but maybe because of it’s more laid back appearance that Abbie would decide to make her red carpet return here. I think that if she stepped out wearing this very chic dark red Roland Mouret Spring 2018 RTW pencil dress which features a square neckline, fringe cap sleeves, and a midi fringed hemline that Abbie would be on top of her game again. I think that to make sure that this look has the perfect aesthetic for this red carpet I would have Abbie style this dress with a sleek hairstyle, lined eye, nude lip, and a pair of nude Gianvito Rossi ‘Rania’ crystal illusion pumps. In The Fade earned Diane Kruger the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, and she is confirmed to be a guest at the spotlight premiere of the film at the Hamptons Film Festival. I wonder what she will wear. The festival is definitely more laid back, and as much as I would love to see Diane do a really great gown or couture (because I love when she does) I know that it will be something much simpler. I think that this gold and silver patchwork beaded mini dress from the Chloe Spring 2018 RTW collection would be a perfect elevated moment for Diane at the Hamptons Film Festival. The dress is right off the runway and I think that the dress is totally in tune with Diane’s style, and would elevate the glamour of the red carpet at the Hamptons Film Festival. I think that with a pair of gold studded Jimmy Choo ‘Lang’ nude sandals, wavy bob, smokey eye, and a nude lip that Diane would kill this red carpet.I, Tonya is the closing gala film of this years Hamptons Film Festival and I am hoping that since Margot Robbie has her film Goodbye Christopher Robin also screening at this years festival as a centerpiece gala that she will make the trip out to celebrate both films. For the closing gala I went with another simple cocktail dress for Margot to wear on the red carpet. I think that this white pinstriped Self-Portrait Spring 2018 criss-cross halter gown which features a blue banded waist, keyhole cutout, and black piping detail would fit right in on the red carpet at the Hamptons Film Festival. It pains me to not pick gowns for a gala premiere, but I think that this is a perfect look for her and for this event. I think that with a statement pair of blue embroidered Prada pumps with a green button detail, chic wavy bob, blue winged eyeliner, and a pink lip that Margot would have a totally beautiful red carpet moment.
The 2017 London Film Festival opens October 5, 2017 and runs through October 9, 2017.
