2017 Hamptons International Film Festival Red Carpet Wish List Part 1

When it comes to film festivals one of the ones that takes place that I don’t usually cover is the annual Hamptons International Film Festival. The festival doesn’t usually have big red carpets, but there are a few films who I think could get their stars to the red carpet. Claire Foy has been up and down with regards to her red carpet style since bursting onto the scene promoting The Crown last fall. Her film Breathe is screening at the festival following opening the London Film Festival. I don’t know what Claire would wear for an event like the Hamptons International Film Festival. The festival definitely has a much more laid back vibe than any of the other festivals that Breathe has screened at so I would love to see Claire give a great elevated casual moment. I think that this black Bottega Veneta Resort 2018 a-line dress with three quarter length sleeves would make for a great look for Claire to wear. I think that going 50’s would be the obvious route with this look, and I wouldn’t. I would go with sleek hair, a black Bottega Veneta woven faille large knot clutch, a kohl rimmed eye, nude lip, and a pair of black Alexandre Birman tied sandals to make this a perfect casual screening ensemble.Margot Robbie has two films in the selection for this years Hamptons International Film Festival. Goodbye Christopher Robin is a centerpiece gala at this years festival and I am hoping that Margot will deliver a very chic and flirty moment for the red carpet at this screening. I went with this fun, flirty, and breezy yellow and white striped Tadashi Shoji Spring 2018 RTW chiffon mini dress because when I think of the Hamptons I think of beachy elegance and I think that this dress would definitely fit right in with that aesthetic. I can’t ever recall seeing Margot wearing Tadashi on the red carpet. It might seem like a step down from the likes of Chanel Couture, but I think that it would fit perfectly with the feeling of this red carpet. Some might think it is too casual for a centerpiece gala screening at a film festival, but I think that if Margot wore this dress with a romantic updo, sun-kissed makeup, yellow diamond chandelier earrings, a gold Nancy Gonzalez crocodile slim frame clutch, and a pair of yellow Gianvito Rossi strappy suede sandals that she would have a perfect moment on her hands.

The 2017 London Film Festival opens October 5, 2017 and runs through October 9, 2017.
