2017 London Film Festival Red Carpet Wish List Part 6

Today my wishes for the 2017 London Film Festival come to an end. As I have said I am really looking forward to this years red carpet. I am praying that since the films that are screening this year have such star power that the stars will make the journey to London for the festival. Sometimes the level of star power in the official selection doesn’t necessarily amount to a quality amount of stars on the red carpet, but I am really hopeful that this year that we will have some amazing red carpet moments over the course of this years festival. When Ruth Wilson stepped out on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote Dark River we saw this new side of her style. It almost bordered on over styled and too “I don’t give a fuck.” I am really hoping that when she steps out on the red carpet at the special presentation screening of Dark River that Ruth is back on her top form. This hot off the runway Oscar de la Renta Spring 2018 RTW gown which features a tulip gown which features artistic beading and cap sleeves. This is a more complicated shape to pull off, but I think that Ruth has the chutzpah to really make it work on the red carpet. The glamour of this gown is beautiful and I think that a sleek low bun, kohl rimmed eye, pink lip, an orange Corto Moltedo ‘Susan C Star’ fringe clutch, and a pair of black satin Sophia Webster ‘Coco Crystal’ crystal heel pumps would totally elevate this look to best dressed worthy potential. I was looking forward to the promo tour for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri as it has screened at almost all of the fall film festivals. I was looking forward to seeing Abbie Cornish to make her splash on the red carpet again and that hasn’t happened. She has skipped out on all of this years festivals red carpets. I am still wishing that Abbie will show up for at least one red carpet to promote this film. The film is the closing gala of the 2017 London Film Festival and I feel like that would be a major moment for Abbie to finally make her appearance. I went to this absolutely gorgeous hibiscus red Elizabeth Kennedy Spring 2017 RTW gown which features one shoulder with a long sleeve and draping effect because it just screams glamour and for the closing gala of a major film festival I think it holds enough dramatic glamour to satiate my flare for over the top gowns. I think that this gown is the perfect canvas for a really great jewelry moment. I would love to see Abbie pair this gown with Annoushka jewels including a pair of brown diamond and garnet ‘Favourites’ drop earrings and a statement garnet ‘Shard’ cuff worn over the cuff of the sleeve. Sleek and simple styling the red of the look with a pair of nude Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, sleek updo, smokey eye, and a nude glossy lip would ensure that Abbie is back in full glamorous force. The way tweets that I mention Kathryn Newton in blow up I am really surprised that she hasn’t been brought out to help promote Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. I have seen Kathryn blossom into an emerging fashionista over this year by catching the eye of brands like Gucci and Valentino. I am going back to Gucci for Kathryn to wear for the films closing ceremony screening at the London Film Festival. I think that Kathryn would look beautiful wearing this periwinkle blue silk Gucci Cruise 2018 gown which features a duel bow bodice and crystal straps. This gown is chic and simple, but the perfect look for a rising star like Kathryn. I would add a pair of statement blue and green Gucci embellished sandals, romantic updo, kohl rimmed eyes, simple diamond stud earrings, and a red lip to really make this look perfection.

The 2017 London Film Festival opens October 4, 2017 and runs through October 15, 2017.
