Now that all of the leading ladies of television have their gowns it is time to move on to all the supporting actresses. Kicking off the wishes for the supporting actresses are the stars of drama series. There is a wide range of ages, shapes, and colors in this category and each lady has given us something great on the red carpet and I have high expectations for what they will wear on the red carpet at the Emmy’s next Sunday. Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has been making waves on the red carpet as she works with power stylist Thomas Carter Phillips recently. Millie, at 13, is already a muse for Raf Simons at Calvin Klein. She was seated front row at the brands Spring 2018 RTW presentation last night, and I waited to post this look just to see if there was something that I wanted her to wear just a little more. I saw some things that I think Millie would wear but I am still confident in the choice I had already made as a perfect Emmy Awards dress. For the most part when stars have worn these feathered cocktail dresses for the red carpet they have worn them without the clear PVC that was wrapped around them on the runway. Both Julianne Moore and Laura Dern have worn them like that on a red carpet. For the Emmy Awards I want to see Millie wear this white, black, and yellow Calvin Klein Fall 2017 RTW feathered cocktail dress wrapped in the PVC that it was paired with on the runway. I seriously think that Millie will wear something custom from Calvin next Sunday, but this would be a dream. A pair of yellow and white Calvin Klein ‘Cammy’ sandals, sleek hairstyle, and simple barely there makeup would make this look total perfection.Samira Wiley holds her first Emmy nomination for her role in the hit breakout show The Handmaid’s Tale. Honestly she should have gotten two this year with her performance in her last season on Orange is the New Black, but I am glad that she is nominated and will be on the red carpet next Sunday. I think it would be a very safe bet to say that Samira will wear a custom Christian Siriano gown or a gown from his Spring 2018 RTW collection that will be presented tomorrow. I wanted to wait and see what Siriano was going to present tomorrow, but since there are so many stars to wish for and so little time I just had to make a choice and move on. Of anything that Christian presented in his Fall 2017 RTW collection I most wanted to see on the red carpet was this mauve pink illusion embroidered gown that features a round neckline, a sleeveless silhouette, and a full length skirt with back train design. The look is a little more feminine, flirt, and extra compared to Samira’s usual style but I think that she would look beautiful for her first nominated Emmy’s wearing this gown. The gown is such a statement that the styling really needs to be kept simple. All I would add a pair of peach satin Schutz ‘Primm’ sandals, a tight curly hairstyle, smokey eye, and a nude lip to really round this look out perfectly for Samira. Thandie Newton is one of the ones who are nominated for the Emmy Awards this year that I am most excited to see on the red carpet. I have loved almost everything that she has worn this year and coming off the heels of her Golden Globe win for her role in Westworld, which is also earned her this Emmy nomination. When I was flipping through the Osman Resort 2018 look book and I saw this black one shoulder gown that features gold vintage firework broach inspired embroidery I sent a picture of it to one of my friends with the caption that read “Thandie Newton Emmy Gown?” and that was it. From that moment on I was obsessed with the idea of Thandie in this gown and I think that the Emmy Awards is the perfect place for her to wear it to really give us a modern statement on a red carpet that can usually be filled with looks that come across very dated or standard. A pair of black and gold Francesco Russo sandals, Sleek ponytail, vintage gold set diamond drop earrings, a smokey eye, and a nude lip would make this look absolute perfection. Uzo Aduba earned her Emmy nomination this year from Orange is the New Black which has previously given her two Emmy Award nominations and wins. Her character of “Crazy Eyes” on the show seems to be a good luck charm since every single time she has been nominated for the role at the Emmy’s she has won. Will she take home the trophy again this year? I’m not sure. The competition in all of the acting categories seems really tough this year. I am hoping that Uzo oozes glamour on the red carpet next Sunday whether or not she wins. The available runway looks just weren’t doing it for me. I really want to see Uzo wearing either Zac Posen or Marchesa on the Emmy red carpet, but none of the Pre-Fall 2017, Fall 2017 RTW, or Resort 2018 collections from either really spoke to me. I think that Uzo wearing this magenta pink Zac Posen mermaid gown which features cap sleeves that I found online from Neiman Marcus (and is no longer available) would be absolutely amazing. This gown would flatter all of Uzo’s curves and just scream classic glamour on the red carpet. A sleek low bun, smokey eye, dazzling diamond drop earrings, a red lip, and a pair of champagne crystal embellished Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ pumps would ensure that Uzo oozes glamour.
