The competition for the Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie trophy at the 2017 Emmy Awards is really the toughest competition of the entire night. There were so many limited series with strong female leads that waiting to see who was nominated was really a wild card. I am really excited because of any of the actresses nominated for an Emmy this year almost all of the women nominated in this category have the fashion factor and will elevate this red carpet. Felicity Huffman is not one of the fashionistas on this list. I will imagine that she will step out on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards next Sunday wearing all black. I don’t usually think of Carmen Marc Valvo for the red carpet, I actually think this is the first time I have featured the designer on the blog, but when I was thinking of the gown to pick for Felicity to wear I thought of this chic sequin embellished Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2017 RTW fit to flare gown with a plunging neckline. The dress is very simple and by no stretch of the imagination anything that would make a best dressed list, but I think that it would be a classic, simple option for Felicity to wear on this red carpet. Styling could elevate this look. Adding a romantic updo, red lip, a selection of dripping diamond necklaces, a statement Rafe ‘Sara’ faceted shell minaudiere, diamond stud earrings, and a simple pair of black Schutz ‘Cadey Lee’ sandals would make this look beautiful.I loved watching Feud: Bette and Joan and I was really excited to see it get some Emmy love. Jessica Lange played the role of Joan Crawford beautifully and now I am really looking forward to seeing what she will wear on the Emmy Awards red carpet where that role has earned this nomination. I used to be very indifferent to Jessica’s style but recently she has given some really beautiful moments on the red carpet. I think that playing the role of an actual icon has made her rise to the occasion. I would absolutely love to see Jessica step onto this red carpet wearing this dusty rose silk Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition Fall 2017 bias draped gown which features 3/4 length sleeves, and a jewel embellished v-back gown. I am surprised there is anything Alberta Ferretti left after it seemed like there were two to three gowns from the brand on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival, and this id definitely one of the gowns that I want to see on a red carpet. I think that Jessica would look lovely wearing this gown on the Emmy red carpet. Knowing Jessica’s style I think that a curly hairstyle, smokey eye, a mauve lip, and a pair of dusty rose velvet Jimmy Choo ‘Annie’ sandals would be how she would style it. Jessica also is known to wear sunglasses on a red carpet, and despite my hatred of sunnies on a red carpet I would pick a pair of pink Michael Kors plastic rimmed cat eye sunglasses to compliment the gown. Nicole Kidman is my favorite to take home the Emmy for her performance in Big Little Lies. That was my favorite miniseries I think I have ever watched and I was extremely excited to see that after so much begging of more from fans the cast announced that HBO would be turning it into a regular series. Since I really want to see Nicole take home the trophy I picked a winning look for her to wear on the red carpet. I think that this black and gold Medieval embroidered lace Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture long sleeve gown would be the perfect look for Nicole to wear on the Emmy red carpet. She has been one of my absolute favorites to see on the red carpets this year and I have a feeling that her top notch fashion choices will not slow down anytime soon. Adding a chic updo, glossy nude lip, vintage gold set diamond drop earrings, and a pair of gold Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pointed toe pumps would make this look perfection. Reese Witherspoon will also walk away from the Emmy Awards next Sunday with a trophy. How? She and Nicole are also both nominated as producers for the shows Best Limited Series or Movie nomination, so Nicole could end up with two statues as well. I would imagine that Reese will still give us something amazing and beautiful on the red carpet, and my guess is that it will come courtesy of Oscar de la Renta. I would absolutely die if she stepped out on the red carpet at the Emmy’s wearing this beautiful red Oscar de la Renta Resort 2018 gown which features an illusion neckline, a cascading crystal embroidered design, and a full length ball skirt. This gown is dramatically elegant and I think that Reese would more than do it justice on the red carpet. We might also see Reese wearing a custom gown or a gown from the yet to be presented Spring 2018 RTW collection, but this gown is my number one wish for Reese to wear on the red carpet. I would want to see Reese really make this gown her own wearing a chic updo, kohl rimmed eyes, red Gianvito Rossi scalloped suede ankle wrap pumps, diamond cluster earrings, and a red lip.Susan Sarandon is also nominated for the limited series Feud: Bette and Joan in which she played the iconic Bette Davis. Susan is never one I really like to see on the red carpet. She wears the same too tight long sleeve, portrait neckline gown with her boobs pushed up to her chin and a center split. We have seen her wear variations of the same gown from Alberta Ferretti, Jason Wu, and Chanel this year and I am ready to see something different. I originally picked a runway gown that had the same silhouette, but I decided as I was editing that I was so overly done with that shape that I started a new search. I didn’t find anything on the runways or lookbooks that I was interested in so I went to the virtual store racks. When I saw this burgundy sequin Ingie Paris long sleeve gown which features a squared off plunging neckline and tired skirt I though of how beautiful it would look on Susan. She isn’t usually one for much sequin sparkle, but I see this as such a strong gown that I think that she would wear it extremely well. I think that with a black satin Salvatore Ferragamo ‘Gancio’ clutch, a sleek bun, lined eye, nude lip, and a pair of bronze Schutz ‘Saasha Lee’ sandals that this could be a gorgeous moment on the red carpet. Like Jessica Lange Susan also loves to see the red carpet through the lenses of sunglasses so I am sure that she will wear a pair with her gown much to my chagrin. If I had to give her a pair to wear with the gown I guess a pair of Ray-Ban ‘Blaze Cats’ cat eye sunnies would be the ones I would hand her.
