2017 Clara Lionel Foundation Diamond Ball Red Carpet Wish List

Now that I am past my wishes for the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival red carpet and before I jump into my wishes for the 2017 Emmy Awards I wanted to post a wish for the red carpet at the 2017 Clara Lionel Foundation Diamond Ball. After cancelling last years event I am glad to see that Rihanna is back on fundraising for her foundation and I am really excited to see what she will bring for this years event. In previous years Rihanna has really delivered two very different looks on the red carpet at the diamond ball. For her first she wore a vintage Dior Couture design from the 1950’s and it came across as a total mess. The following year Rihanna was all glamour in Zac Posen. That was a truly magical red carpet moment for RiRi and I am hoping that she will be on top form at the gala this year. I went back to Zac for Rihanna’s red carpet moment this year and this now archive emerald green gown from the Zac Posen Spring 2012 RTW gown. When I decided I was thinking about the look that I wanted to put Rihanna back in Zac Posen and this emerald gown was the first thing I thought of. I want to see Rihanna dust this gown out of the archives and finally give it a moment on the red carpet that it deserves. Of course being the diamond ball some sort of iconic jewelry piece will be in play. I found this amazing emerald and diamond collar necklace from the latest Chopard red carpet collection that I think only Rihanna could make work. With the extreme statement of the necklace and the extreme glamour of the gown I still want to forever up the glamour of this look. Adding a sleek beehive updo, smokey eye, red lip, white elbow gloves, and a pair of green velvet Saint Laurent ‘Amber’ ankle wrap sandals would all make this look scream old school glamour.
