2017 Toronto International Film Festival Red Carpet Wish List Part 12

We have reached the beginning of the end of my final full day of wishes for the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. I have five more wishes for this years festival today and five more tomorrow and then we are done! I honestly feel like I just started posting these wishes and now we are nearing the end. The festival itself kicks off next Thursday and we are in store for 10 straight days of glamour with this years edition with all of the films and stars that are confirmed to attend this this year. You might be a little surprised to see that this year the Toronto International Film Festival is also screening some episodes of a few television series under the primetime selection. The Girlfriend Experience Season 2 is one of five shows that are going to be screened at this years festival and I have to say I am excited to see what it will bring. The show was originally slated to be a limited series, but after a lot of buzz and a Best Actress nomination for Riley Keough at the Golden Globes earlier this year, it was picked up for another season. I checked the TIFF website for cast listings and Riley was nowhere to be seen so I don’t know if she will be seen on the red carpet in Venice. Carmen Ejogo is on the very limited cast list so I would bet that she will be making her way to Toronto for this premiere. Carmen is a rising fashion star and has worn some beautiful looks on the red carpet in the past and I am hoping the is on top form. I think that this light pink Rodarte Spring 2018 RTW ensemble which features a strapless gathered floral tulle bandeau style bodice and a tiered tulle skirt would be the perfect look for Carmen to wear. Since this is a premiere for a television show at a film festival I really don’t see a gown being appropriate and this look is exactly what I would expect to see at this type of TIFF premiere. I went for fun shoes with a pair of rose gold Sophia Webster laser cut sandals to perfectly compliment this dress. A smokey eye, romantic updo, and a glossy pink lip would finish this look perfectly. Everyone knows that I love to see Helen Mirren on the red carpet and I am really excited to see what she will wear for the gala presentation of The Leisure Seeker. This is another of the films that will be making its second stop on the promo tour at TIFF following the films premiere in Venice. I would love to see Helen step out on the red carpet in Toronto wearing this absolutely beautiful light blue Dolce & Gabbana hydrangea embellished cap-sleeve, mermaid gown. Helen loves herself some Dolce on the red carpet and when I was searching the virtual racks of Neiman Marcus I saw this gown and immediately thought of Helen, and I said that it would be the perfect gown for her to wear for TIFF. I actually made it a head to toe Dolce moment selecting a white Dolce & Gabbana hydrangea print clutch and a pair of navy Dolce & Gabbana ‘Belluci’ lace, crystal embellished pumps. Finishing this look with a chic loose curly hairstyle, lined eye, and a red lip would make it total perfection. Julianna Margulies loves herself a black dress on the red carpet and I would bet that at least one of her looks during TIFF will be black. I went to this beautiful Narciso Rodriguez Resort 2018 dress with a rise fall hem, full skirt, plunging neckline for Julianna to wear for the gala presentation of Three Christs at this years festival. The dress might be simple and void of embellishment, but I think that Julianna would look so incredibly chic and modern wearing this creation on a red carpet. I would elevate the look via the accessories a pair of Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Follies’ quilted floral pumps, a pair of gold set ruby and diamond drop earrings, chic bun, smokey eye, and a red lip would all put this look together perfectly.Kate Mara has two films slated for gala presentations at TIFF this year and I am hoping my former girl crush will make me fall back in love with her. Kate has fallen into the Dior ambassador curse without actually having a contract or campaign. I am hoping that when she steps out for the premiere of Chappaquiddick that she will be on top form. I did decide to pick a Dior design with this black and gold embroidered Christian Dior Cruise 2018 dress, which has become a Dior signature under Maria Grazia Chiuri. This is one of the Cruise 2018 dresses that I really loved and I think that Kate would definitely make it something beautiful for a TIFF premiere. The dress is enough for me so I would keep styling simple with a chic updo, smokey eye, nude lip, and a pair of gold Jeffery Campbell ‘Obus’ sandals rounding it out. When I saw that Maggie Gyllenhaal television series The Deuce was added to the TIFF lineup under the primetime selection I got really excited. Maggie has so much potential to really make major red carpet moments happen on the red carpet. My wish for her to wear this Armani Prive Fall 2017 Couture velvet suit which features a rose embroidered blazer with a plunging neckline and a tulle peplum and a pencil skirt might be a little much for this kind of premiere, but I say it is the Toronto Film Festival so why not? I feel like this look is beautiful and I truly think that Maggie would do it crazy justice on the red carpet. I do think that the neckline would have to be modified for Maggie making it a little more modest. I really upped the glamour of this look adding a purple Edie Parker clutch, bouncy curls, red lip, smokey eye, diamond cluster earrings, a diamond cocktail ring, and a pair of black oil slick Casadei ‘Techno Blade’ pointed toe pumps to make it a perfect look for the Toronto International Film Festival red carpet.

The 2017 Toronto International Film Festival opens September 7, 2017 and runs through September 16, 2017.
