The 2017 Venice Film Festival is going to be extremely glamorous. There are so many major stars that are presenting films in and out of competition this year. I tried to fit in a post per premiere for the entire festival, but unfortunately I was unable to do that because of time restraints. With so many events from the VMA’s and Venice to Toronto Film Festival and the Emmy’s coming in the next month I had to fit in as many looks as possible in a very little times. So some of the wishes I have made for the Venice Film Festival will features two films. This is one of those posts. Amanda Seyfried is one of my favorite ladies to see on a red carpet. t has really been a long time since we last saw a really good moment from her and I am praying that when she jets out to Venice to present her latest film First Reformed at the festival that she delivers two major fashion moments. For the photocall I decided to give Amanda a shot and put her in this amazing blue and maroon Valentino Resort 2018 pleated midi dress which meshes flirty, feminine elegance with sporty edge to really make this look beautiful. This is one of my favorite casual looks from the Resort 2018 collections, so I am praying whoever gets their hands on it will ensure that they totally do it major justice on this red carpet. I think that Amanda would totally do this dress the justice it deserves. I would finish this look with wine berry Alexandre Birman ‘Charlotte’ suede three-strap pumps, loose waves, and a pink lip to make it truly perfect. Now the premiere is where I am really expecting major things from Amanda. She used to deliver the most gorgeous fashion moments on the red carpet so I know that she has a major drama moment in her. This is Amanda’s first really major film festival red carpet stage, so I am expecting the level of glamour that she has put forth for events like the Oscars or Met Gala where she has worn dramatic looks from Armani Prive, Givenchy, Valentino, and Alexander McQueen. For her first Venice Film Festival premiere I went with something bold, dramatic, glamorous, and new with this raspberry red Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 Couture draped peplum gown which features an off the shoulder neckline and a dramatic train. Amanda has never had Giambattista Valli moment on the red carpet and I think that an occasion would be the perfect time for her to have her first. This look is screaming for a statement necklace, a pair of dyed to match satin sandals, chic updo, and matching lip to really finish this look off. From what I have seen this will be the first time that Chloe Sevingy has been at the Venice Film Festival since 1999, presenting her latest film Lean on Pete. I am really interested to see what she will bring to the red carpets at Venice. Chloe has some quite avant garde style and I have a feeling she will bring the edge to the carpets during Venice. For the photocall I went to a dress that I immediately thought of Chloe when I first saw it. This pink, yellow, white, and black trimmed Emilio Pucci Resort 2018 dress which features a bustier style bodice, a v-neckline, and embroidered eyelet detailing screams Chloe and I think that the soft colors and edgy take on femininity just scream for the perfect look for her to bring to life for the Lean on Pete photocall. I would add a statement hot pink SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker ‘Fawn’ satin pumps to make this look even more bold and statement making. For the films premiere I went to something even more edgy and glam for Chloe to rock on the red carpet at the Lido. Back in June Chloe was the guest of Proenza Schouler at the 2017 CFDA Awards and rocked a custom mini dress from the labels Fall 2017 RTW collection. Since then the brand has presented a gorgeous Spring 2018 RTW collection in Paris that I am just dying to see all over the red carpets. It takes a special person to make a Proenza Schouler design work on a red carpet and Chloe is definitely one of the few who has the certain je ne sais quoi to make them work. I think that on the Venice Film Festival red carpet that this black Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 RTW ensemble which features a pieced flower embroidered cutout tunic top and playful feather midi skirt would be the most gorgeous option for Chloe to wear. I don;t expect drama from gowns with major trains or big ball skirts from Chloe, but this look would give that perfect edge to a dramatic and glamorous look to keep things fresh. A black snakeskin Prada box clutch, sleek updo, smokey eyes, red lip and a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Mistico’ crystal embellished ankle wrap sandals would elevate this look to one of the best of Venice worthy red carpet moments.
The 2017 Venice Film Festival opens August 30, 2017 and runs through September 9, 2017.
