The latest thriller from Darren Aronofsky Mother! is slated to premiere at the 2017 Venice Film Festival in competition so I am sure that we will see a good portion of the cast on the red carpet to promote the film at the festival. The cast for this film is really good with Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem taking the leading roles. I am really excited for this premiere. It was been a while since we have seen Jennifer Lawrence on the red carpet and I am actually really excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival premiere of Mother!. It has been almost 10 years since Jennifer last attended the Venice Film Festival back in 2008 where she won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actress for the movie The Burning Plain, this was back before she made waves with a breakout role and her first Oscar nomination for Winter’s Bone and had even fathomed being Katniss in The Hunger Games. Now JLaw will be on hand as a star of a film. For the Mother! photocall I would love to see Jennifer show up in something very chic and elegant which is why I picked this dark blue chiffon Christian Dior Fall 2017 RTW pleated midi dress which features a beaded collar and a belted waist. I would line the dress so that no Christian Dior branded underwear was seen. I would add a pair of ocean blue Aquazzura ‘Stellar’ pearl beaded velvet pumps, loose waves, and a face of neutral makeup to really perfectly punctuate this high glamour look. For the actual red carpet premiere following the photocall I went through several option for Jennifer to wear on the red carpet. I know that she will wear Dior since she is a face of the brand, but I want to see her give a full glam moment on the red carpet. I know I have said that Jennifer’s best red carpet moments in Dior have come form the more sleeker and sporty designs, but I honestly think that JLaw would look so elegant gliding down the red carpet at this premiere wearing this strapless nude and black Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture ball gown. This gown reminds me of 50’s Dior and Charles James and I think that Jennifer would look so classically elegant on the red carpet in this creation. I think that with a chic romantic updo, red lip, diamond drop earrings, and a pair of black sandals that Jennifer would shut the red carpet down at this premiere. Mother! is the second film that Kristen Wiig is presenting at the 2017 Venice Film Festival. Kirsten may not be my favorite person to see on the red carpet, but I am hopeful that she will rise to the occasion of dressing for two films at a major film festival. I kinda switched which look I am taking more of a risk with making a wish for in this set of wishes from the premiere to the photocall. I went with a more avant garde look courtesy of this grey, black, and red glen plaid Rosie Assoulin Fall 2017 RTW suit which features a draped blazer and a pair of ruffled hem pants. Rosie is this edgy brand that Kristen has been a fan of it in the past and I think that this suit would be a perfect look for her to wear for a Venice Film Festival photocall. I would finish this suit off with a punky hairstyle, neutral makeup, and a pair of black Valentino ‘Rockstud’ cross strap pumps to make it a perfect photocall ensemble. For the Mother! premiere I went for simplistic style and bold color with this hot pink Valentino Resort 2018 velvet gown which features side cutouts. This dress is much more of the standard look that I expect from Kristen and I that since this isn’t the opening ceremony that it is a perfect option for her to wear on the red carpet on the Lido. With a pair of nude Aquazzura ‘Eden’ crystal embellished sandals, sleek hairstyle, lined eye, matching hot pink lip, and a pair of diamond cluster earrings this would be another great look for Kristen at the festival.Michelle Pheiffer is one of those actresses that just seem to get better with age. The American actress is 59 and giving us looks that are sexier than ever. I am really hoping that she makes the jaunt out to the Venice Film Festival to help Jennifer and Kristen present Mother!. For the films photocall I went to a very chic moment for Michelle to wear on the stage with this Roland Mouret Fall 2017 RTW dress which features a midnight blue velvet structured bodice and a black origami pencil skirt. It has been a very long time since we have seen Michelle wear her hair up and I don’t think that will change anytime soon, even though I think that is what she should do with this dress. I upped the glamour of this look, maybe making it a little extra for a daytime photocall, with a pair of black and blue Rene Caovilla two tone, crystal back, ankle wrap pumps. For the premiere I went for straight up sensual glamour with this black Elie Saab Fall 2017 RTW illusion gown features a round neckline, full length sleeves, and a bead embroidered velvet design throughout. When I was picking looks for Venice this was one of the first looks that I knew I wanted to see on the red carpets at the Venice Film Festival. I think that this look is right up Michelle’s ally and it would make for a beautiful red carpet moment. I would pair this look with a black clutch, diamond drop earrings, loose curls, smokey eyes, a red lip, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ patent leather pumps to really make this a truly beautiful red carpet moment.
The 2017 Venice Film Festival opens August 30, 2017 and runs through September 9, 2017.
