2017 Venice Film Festival: “Loving Pablo” Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Earlier I posted my wishes for the cast of Mother! which stars Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem bodes well for two appearances by the Spanish actor at the 2017 Venice Film Festival. The other film that Javier stars in that is screening at the festival is Loving Pablo in which he stars alongside his beautiful wife Penelope Cruz. I am really excited to see what Penelope wears on the red carpet in Venice. I wonder if she will attend the Mother! premiere to support her hubby before or after the Loving Pablo premiere, since I haven’t seen the official schedule of screenings. Penelope Cruz is one of my favorite fashionista’s and I have high expectations for what she will wear on the red carpet at the 2017 Venice Film Festival. I am really hoping that Penelope will step out the red carpet giving us some major best dressed of the year worthy moments. The photocall might not deliver a major best dressed of the year moment, but I know that if she stepped out wearing this red, black, and white embroidered Azzedine Alaia Fall 2017 Couture sleeveless knit midi dress which features a mock turtleneck and an a-line skirt that she would deliver a best of Venice worthy look. Penelope loves herself some Alaia and I think that this dress is different than most of the Alaia looks that she tends to favor on the red carpet. Simple black patent Christian Louboutin ‘Fliketta’ ankle wrap pumps, a chic bun, and a classic face of makeup with a nude lip would finish this look beautifully. For the premiere my guess is that Penelope will wear something custom. She has killed red carpets in custom Atelier Versace, Giambattista Valli, Armani Prive, and Balmain in the past few years with most of them coming from Versace. I went to the Atelier Versace archives to find the perfect dress for Penelope to wear on the red carpet. This strapless white mermaid gown from the Atelier Versace Spring 2015 Couture collection would be absolutely amazing on Penelope. This is one of those gowns that I cannot believe that hasn’t ever been worn yet and I think that for the Venice Film Festival red carpet that it would just be a beautiful platform for Penelope to bring this gown to life. Since the gown in so simple with out a single embellishment I think think that a major jewellery moment is needed. I think that a major statement diamond and statement stone necklace, chic loose updo, smokey eyes, a red lip, and adding more sparkle with a pair of crystal embellished Aquazzura ‘Temptation’ slingback PVC pumps would all just make this look total perfection. I want to incorporate the jury of the 2017 Venice Film Festival into the wishes for the premieres because you never know when we will see any of the jury members pop up on the red carpet. Rebecca Hall is the one that I am counting on to really bring some major moments on the red carpet over the course of the festival. I spent hours looking back at Rebecca’s red carpet history and picking the looks from the designers that Rebecca favors wearing. Rebecca does love wearing a Victoria Beckham dresses on the red carpet and I really want to see her rocking the red carpet in Venice wearing one of the former Spice Girl’s designs. I think that Rebecca would look so incredibly chic wearing this black and white Victoria Beckham gown which features a knotted bodice with spaghetti straps and an a-line skirt. This look is the quintessential look that any modern woman looking to do classic for evening should want to wear on the red carpet, and I think that Rebecca would personify that perfectly. Adding a pop of color via a cherry red satin Roger Vivier crystal Pilgrim buckle clutch and a red lip while keeping things chic with loose waves, a statement diamond ring, and a pair of black velvet Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ sandals would make for another beautiful moment for Rebecca to wear on the red carpets of the Venice Film Festival.

The 2017 Venice Film Festival opens August 30, 2017 and runs through September 9, 2017.
