Nieves Alvarez was one of many who was out and about during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week last month, and I know that she (and stylist Victor Blanco) will be calling in a lot of the looks that she saw while perched on the front row. Nieves always shuts down any red carpet she is on wearing some of the most dramatic and glamorous ensembles in the world. Sadly I don’t usually feature a whole lot of Nieves on the blog, because I usually don’t get a heads up on the events that she is attending. We have seen Nieves rock editorials wearing some amazing Armani Prive gowns in the pages of high fashion magazines, but I have never seen her wearing the brand on the red carpet. I know her stylist pulls from Armani for other clients, so I am ready to see Nieves just shut a red carpet down wearing one of his designs. There were several moments from the Armani Prive Fall 2017 Couture collection that really made me die to want to see Nieves wearing on the red carpet. This black ensemble which features a beaded fringe embellished long sleeve bodice with a sheer yoke and a velvet skirt trimmed in beaded lace is one of my favorite moments that I am really excited to see on a red carpet and I totally think that Nieves would shut the red carpet down in this design. Someone with regal with statuesque height is going to be needed to really turn this into a truly major moment on the red carpet, and Nieves totally has that. As I have said a few times recently I am really loving watching Ashi Studio continue to rise in popularity amongst celebrities. The Ashi Studio Fall 2017 Couture collection is amazing, and there was more of a variation in style in this collection than what we have seen in the past. The typical Ashi Studio looks is just all about volume, and this look definitely features volume, but in a new way for the brand. The rouched, cold shoulder, leg-o-mutton sleeves evoke feelings of Victorian glamour meets the 80’s, especially with the popped collar. The chic buttons down the blouse and the extremely structured trumpet skirt just make it another amazing moment that I can totally picture Nieves rocking on a red carpet. I can see it with a bright bold Bulgari clutch and some great statement stone cluster earrings really making it a major moment. Nieves has worn Versace ready-to-wear on the red carpet, but I haven’t seen her in an amazing Atelier Versace moment yet. I think that Nieves is one of the few who I really think could turn this major light blue and gold one sleeve gown with an asymmetric neckline and a strong shoulder into a truly major moment on the red carpet. As I have said about other gowns for Nieves someone with regal with statuesque height, or some major customization, is going to be needed to make this gown really come to life on the red carpet, and we know that Nieves could take this sample and just throw it on with a pair of gold sandals and run off to a major red carpet and look perfect. It has been a long time since we have seen Nieves wear a Giambattista Valli Couture look on the red carpet. She has worn many of the brands ready-to-wear pieces in the past. I think I would die if we got this light pink draped ethereal goddess glam moment from the Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 Couture collection as a moment from Nieves. Usually we see Nieves wearing some really bold and structured on the red carpet, so I think that this couture gown which is light and airy would be a perfect departure from what we are used to seeing. The gown will most likely be scooped up by some Hollywood starlet for a fall film festival premiere or put on reserve for awards season, but I think that Nieves would definitely ensure that this gown tops a best dressed moment on the red carpet. Rounding out this set of wishes is Stephane Rolland, which sees Nieves as a muse. The Spanish supermodel opened the Stephane Rolland Fall 2017 Couture show, which is becoming almost a tradition, and I am sure that she will wear at least one gown from this collection on the red carpet. I hope there are more because picking just one gown from this collection was extremely difficult. I think that for a major red carpet moment that Nieves would deliver another Best Dressed of the Year worthy moment wearing this which gown with black color blocked sleeves, a structured neckline, dramatic slit, and gold mirrored embellishments on the bodice. This look is typical Nieves and I know that she would really kill this moment on the red carpet making it that total WOW factor. I want to see Nieves let this gown be the statement with simple black sandals, sleek hair, gold clutch, and a bold red lip to really make this gown be a Best Dressed of the Year worthy moment.
