Cannes 2017: Un Certain Regard Closing Ceremony Red Carpet Wish List

The 2017 Cannes Film Festival is nearing its end. This year has been one of the best in recent history and I am really excited to see what we are going to see brought to the red carpet in the final day. I hope that we continue to see the glamour that we have seen closing out the festival with as strong of red carpet looks as the ones that graced the red carpets at the start of the festival. The Un Certain Regard section of the festival will hold its closing ceremony on Saturday ahead of the official closing of the festival on Sunday. We have seen Uma Thurman, the president of the Un Certain Regard jury, deliver a bunch of very up and down looks over the course of the festival. I am hoping that the rest of the festival is smooth sailing.  Uma Thurman has proven she loves feathers with the embellishment adorning two of her custom gowns over the course of the festival. Sadly I was only interested in one of those two looks. I went back to feathers for my wish for Uma to wear for the closing ceremony of the Un Certain Regard selection on Saturday. I think that Uma would look so elegant and statuesque wearing this nude Francesco Scognamiglio Fall 2016 Couture sequin embellished column gown which features a feathered one shoulder neckline. We have seen a lot of Francesco Scognamiglio on the red carpet during Cannes and there are still a few gowns from the labels Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 Couture collection that I want to see on the red carpet and Uma is one who I really think could make this gown come to life on the red carpet. I would have the skirt lined for Uma, just because I am getting really done with seeing sheer skirts on the red carpet. Rounding out the look to perfection with a pair of metallic nude sandals, simple diamond drop earrings, a sleek updo, lined eye, and a pink lip will make this a beautiful bookend to Uma’s time at the festival.

The Closing Ceremony of the Un Certain Regard selection will take place on Saturday May 27, 2017 and the 2017 Cannes Film Festival will close on Sunday May 28, 2017.
